Joel Corry, NFP: Campbell signed a 2 yr, $3.75M deal. $500k of his $1.5M '13 base salary is fully
guaranteed. The deal also has a '14 salary escalator.
Mike Florio, PFT: Campbell’s contract pays out $1.5 million in 2013. Specifically, he gets a base
salary of $1.5 million in 2013, $500,000 of which is fully guaranteed. That said, if Campbell can
win the job, he’ll make more money via incentives. Specifically, he gets $150,000 for 50 percent
playing time in 2013, 65 percent results in $350,000, and 80 percent triggers $600,000. In 2014,
Campbell’s base salary is a bit higher, at $2 million. He also gets roster bonus of $250,000 due
the third day of the league year. But there are escalators for 2014 based on playing time in the
coming season. Campbell’s 2014 base salary will increase by $500,000 based on 30 percent
playing time in 2013. 40 percent playing time in 2013 increases the 2014 salary by another
$500,000. Ten more percent in 2013? Another $500,000 in 2014. And if Campbell takes 65
percent or more of the snaps in 2013, his $2 million salary will double.

James Walker, ESPN: the Cleveland Browns have restructured the contract of WR Josh Cribbs.
Cribbs will receive a maximum of $18.5 million over the next three seasons.
Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland Plain-Dealer: The new deal is worth up to about $20 million, with
about $7 million to $7.5 million guaranteed -- meaning he'd be the highest-paid special-teamer
in the NFL if he hits all of his incentives. The minimum value of the deal is the guaranteed
money… Agent J.R. Rickert said the incentives and escalators in the deal are "really attainable
numbers. If he performs at 2009 levels, he's likely to receive the maximum value of the
contract." The deal contains six levels, including one escalator tied to making the Pro Bowl in
each of the three seasons.

suspension also jeopardizes how much of his $50,256,742 (maximum value) rookie contract he
can earn… up to $7.85 million in additional base salary escalators were available over the last
two years of the deal. In 2013, Haden could add up to $3.65 million to his $6,936,429 base salary
and up to $4.2 million to a $6,678,193 base salary in 2014. Smaller escalators were tied to both
Haden's playing time (85 percent) and interception totals (five or more in a season) plus the
number of Browns wins (10). Larger increases were available if Haden has multiple seasons with
playing time above 85 percent and the team's defense ranks in the Top 5 in NFL or Top 3 in AFC
in certain categories in those same seasons.
Michael David Smith, PFT: the deal includes a $14 million signing bonus, $22 million fully
guaranteed at signing and another $23 million guaranteed for injury.
Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland Plain Dealer: They've signed Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden to a
blockbuster five-year contract extension through 2019, and a source told cleveland.com it's
worth $68 million.
Joel Corry, CBS Sports: Haden picks up an extra $100,000 with each Pro Bowl berth despite
making $13.5 million per year.

Adam Schefter, ESPN: Jackson re-signed a 1-year incentive laden contract with Cleveland for just
over $4.5 million.
Mike Florio, PFT: Jackson received a $7 million signing bonus and a fully-guaranteed base salary
for 2012 of $3.4 million. (As a practical matter, the first-year base salary is always guaranteed,
because the player is never cut that soon.) He’ll also receive a roster bonus of $81,250 for each
game that he’s on the 53-man roster. (In other words, if he lands on injured reserve, he won’t
get the money.) He also will earn a $100,000 workout bonus, and a $25,000 bonus if he makes
it to the Pro Bowl. For 2013, Jackson’s $3.6 million becomes fully guaranteed if he’s on the
roster on the third day of next year’s waiver period, which starts the day after the Super Bowl.
(For now, it’s guaranteed only for injury.) There’s another $81,250 per-game roster bonus,
another $100,000 workout bonus, and another $25,000 Pro Bowl bonus.
For 2014, Jackson has a $2.6 million base salary, $1 million of which will be guaranteed for injury
if he participates in 95 percent of more of the defensive snaps in 2012 and 2013. More
importantly, a $4 million roster bonus comes due on the fifth day of the league year. He has
another $100,000 workout bonus, and another $25,000 Pro Bowl bonus. In 2015, the base
salary shoots to $6.4 million, along with a $500,000 roster bonus (due on the fifth day of the
league year), a $300,000 workout bonus, and a $25,000 Pro Bowl bonus. The same terms apply
in 2016, but the base salary is $7 million. Finally, Jackson has escalators of up to $1.33 million in
each of the final three years based on playing time in 2012 or 2013 or games on the 53-man
roster.

reduce his 1999 base salary from a scheduled $2,384,000 to $900,000. He can also achieve $1.2
million in incentives. His restructured base salary for 2000 will be $1.5 million. So the most the
Browns are on the hook for is $3.6 million over two years. That's a far cry from the $13.58
million Langham was scheduled to receive over the last four years of his old 49ers contract. ...
Because of the rules of the salary cap, Langham's old signing bonus "accelerates" on to the
Browns' salary cap. Thus, Langham's 1999 cap number will be $2,824,000.

source with knowledge of the deal, however, the practical guarantee is $10 million. Lewis will be

$3.5 million in guaranteed money. Given that it's extremely unlikely that Lewis will be cut before

Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: $2.541M/$4.966M max. ($751,000 signing bonus)
Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: McCoy's primary 2013 base salary escalator is both
higher and easier to trigger than the 2013 base salary escalators in other Browns' rookie
contracts. McCoy also has additional base salary escalators in 2013 which are tied to individual
and team performance, as well as Pro Bowls.
James Walker, ESPN: McCoy is more than halfway to a bonus that could pocket him an extra
$650,000. McCoy needs to play 35 percent of the snaps this season -- or approximately 5.6
games -- to guarantee the raise on the fourth year of his base salary.
Brian McIntyre, Yahoo Sports: his playing time and performance from his first two seasons in the
NFL have increased his 2013 base salary from the league minimum to $2.325 million… McCoy's
base salary was escalated by $1.5 million when he played in 47.18 percent of the Browns'
offensive snaps as a rookie. McCoy added another $250,000 to his 2013 salary when he took
82.41 percent of the snaps and reached certain performance incentives in 2011. (An additional
increase of $55,000 - which would raise McCoy's salary to $2.38 million - is expected to take
place as the playing-time/performance increases were applied to a league minimum $575,000
base salary that the 2011 collective bargaining agreement increased to $630,000 for players
with three accrued seasons.)
Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland Plain Dealer: McCoy would soon be released or traded, and that
came to pass Monday when they shipped him to the 49ers along with their sixth-round pick, in
exchange for the 49ers fifth- and seventh-rounders in this month's draft.

AP: Miller, who played the last five seasons for Arizona and turned down a two-year deal from
the Cardinals in March, will make $1.3 million this season and could earn an additional $900,000
with incentives.
AP: Miller and the Browns agreed Friday to a four-year contract extension worth about $18.3
million, including $6 million in bonuses.
Tom Withers, AP: Miller met with Browns president Carmen Policy a few weeks ago and renegotiated the linebacker's contract to include a $14 million roster bonus that the club has to
pay by Feb. 28 or Miller will become a free agent… It is unlikely the Browns would pay the
bonus, which combined with Miller's $3.975 million salary would account for nearly $18 million
of the team's 2003 salary cap.

Art Bietz, Orange and Brown Report: His contract called for a $1.53 million signing bonus and
salaries which gradually increased each year… After being paid $532,000 in 2003, the contract
calls for the receiver to be paid $618,860 this year, $696,220 in 2005 and $773,570 in 2006.
Len Pasquarelli, ESPN: he accomplished enough predetermined performance levels to void the
final three seasons of the seven-year, $5.8 million contract he signed in 2000… However, his
agent, Jerome Stanley, did not file the pertinent paperwork with the league in time to officially
void the 2004-06 seasons, and, thus, Northcutt forfeited his chance at freedom. Attempts to
rectify the oversight by Stanley failed, and the NFL ruled that Northcutt was still under contract
to the Browns, under his original terms, through 2006. That meant he would have had to play
for base salaries of $618,896 for 2004, $695,258 in 2005 and $773,620 in 2006
Len Pasquarelli, ESPN: The deal is worth $9 million and essentially replaces the three years
Northcutt had remaining on his original NFL contract… His new deal will pay him a $750,000
salary next season and includes a $2.25 million signing bonus. He is also due a $2 million roster
bonus next March 15.

Mike Florio, PFT: the value pushes to $20.2 million based on incentive payments due in the final
two seasons of the deal if, and only if, Quinn takes at least 55 percent of the snaps in each of the
first two years of his career or at least 70 percent in his third season… the Browns got to that
$7.75 million number by guaranteeing Quinn's second-year and third-year salaries.
Mary Kay Cabot: If he plays at least 70 percent of the snaps next season [2009], he'll earn $11
million in contract escalators.
Michael David Smith, PFT: The Broncos' announcement said the team gave up fullback Peyton
Hillis, a 2011 sixth-round draft pick and a conditional 2012 draft pick to the Browns for Quinn.

Adam Schefter, NFL.com: Rogers has grown so disenchanted with the situation in Cleveland that
he has asked the Browns not to pick up the $6 million option-bonus payment due to him next
month, a source close to the defensive tackle said. Rogers would rather be released after one
season with the Browns, despite still being owed another $15 million in guaranteed money… If
the Browns release Rogers, they would have to count more than $9.7 million against their salary
cap.
Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: The 31-year old Rogers was set to earn $5.5 million in
base salary next season, with an additional $700,000 via bonuses (roster, workout) and
incentives.
Mike Triplette, Times-Picayune: Rogers was reportedly due a $5.5 million salary in 2011, with a

contract. St. Clair, however, will earn $2.85 million in the first year of the deal, and that
represents 63 percent of the total value of the Bears' offer.

Pat McManamon, ESPN: The deal is for two years and $6.2 million, and breaks down this way,
according to ESPN's Roster Management System: Tate received a signing bonus of $1.5 million.
He will be paid $1 million in base salary this season, a figure that is fully guaranteed. That gives
him $2.5 million in guaranteed money. After the season, Tate will receive a roster bonus that
pays him $46,875 for every game he’s active. If he’s active for 16 games, he’ll receive $750,000,
which is the maximum bonus. This clause clearly is a protection for the team against Tate’s
injuries. He has been injured in every season he’s played. The roster bonus is counted in an
interesting way against the salary cap. Likely to be earned money counts against the cap.
Because Tate played in 14 games in 2013, it’s considered likely he’ll play in 14 in 2014. That
means $656,250 of the roster bonus counts against the 2014 salary cap (14 games times
$46,875). Tate is due a base salary of $2.2 million in 2015. He also is due the same roster bonus.

Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: Thomas received a $6 million signing bonus and a $4
million roster bonus came due on August 25, three days after the extension was signed. Thomas
also had a $1 million reporting bonus and $100,000 workout bonus from his rookie contract,
which also included an $8 million base salary that is unchanged and appears to have been folded
into the reported guarantee amount. Thomas' $10.5 million base salary in 2012 and $10 million
base salary in 2013 are guaranteed for injury only at the time of signing, and both amounts will
be guaranteed for skill and cap if Thomas is on the roster on the third day of each year's waiver
period. There is also a $5.5 million injury only guarantee on Thomas' $10.9 million base salary in
2014 which does not have the same "skill and cap" language that exists in 2012 and 2013. The
amounts that can become fully guaranteed, including the $8 million in base salary this season, is
$38.5 million. Toss in the $5.5 million injury guarantee in 2014, and you get the $44 million
figure that was widely reported… The rest of the deal includes base salaries of $8.8 million
(2015), $8.3 million (2016), and $8.8 million in both 2017 and 2018. There are $200,000 workout
bonuses from 2012-18 ($1.4 million total) and $1 million roster bonuses due on the 5th day of
the 2016, 2017 and 2018 league years.
Between the signing bonus and roster bonus in 2011, the base salaries and workout bonuses
from 2012-18, and the roster bonuses from 2016-18, the "new money" total is an impressive
$80.5 million over seven seasons for an APY of $11.5 million. Thomas can add $1.5 million to his
2017 5th day of the league year roster bonus if he is named to the 2016 Pro Bowl, and $2 million
to his 2018 5th day of the league year roster bonus if he is named to the 2017 Pro Bowl to reach

Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: he Cleveland Browns gave Tramon Williams a
three-year, $21 million contract and it is structured such that Williams will average at least $7
million per year… Williams is guaranteed $10 million over the course of the deal, most of it to be
paid this year: $1.5 million in a signing bonus, $2 million of a $2.3 million in roster bonuses and
his base salary of $3.7 million. The remaining $2.8 million comes from his 2016 base salary of
$6.2 million. If Williams plays in all 16 games, he'll make $7.5 million in '15. If he plays in all 16
games in '16, he'll make $6.5 million, giving him an average of $7 million over two years… In
2017, Williams is due a base salary of $5.7 million and roster bonuses of $1.3 million. All three
years, $300,000 of the roster bonuses are per game, which means he receives $18,750 for each
game he takes part in.

Mike Florio, PFT: Wimbley will receive a $1.096 million roster bonus in 2006 and a $6.731250
million option bonus in 2007, which is guaranteed by future salaries. There's a one-time socalled "falling off of the log" bonus of $850,000, based on the achievement of minimum playing
time (usually 35 percent of the snaps). The "log" is also guaranteed by future salaries. In
Wimbley's case, the $850,00 "log" bonus becomes guaranteed money in 2010, if he doesn't earn
it before then.
Also, the base salaries for 2006 ($275,000) and 2007 ($360,000) are fully guaranteed.
The total guaranteed money, then, is $9.31225 million.
Also, we're told that the buy-back clause for the sixth year of the deal can be as low as $2.5
million and as high as $8.5 million. Wimbley is eligible for the $8.5 million if he makes it to the
Pro Bowl three times in his first five seasons.
Cole: As for cash flow in the first four years, he got $10.48 million. As for incentives, he can
reasonably expect to make $13.45 million over six years.
Caplan: Not only did Cleveland Browns first-round pick OLB Kamerion Wimbley have a solid
rookie season, he lead the team in sacks (11). By doing so and meeting minimum play time
requirements in his contract, a league source pointed out to scout.com and theobr.com that he
was able to void the final year of his six-year deal. So Wimbley now has four years left on his
contract. Wimbley also received a $100,000 bonus for high sack total.
