Brandon Marshall is a wide receiver who announced he had been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder back in 2011. Well, just recently he has renewed his contract for 3 years with the Chicago Bears for $30million dollars. He also announced that he would be donating $1million dollars to treatment for people with mental illness. Now that’s awesome. Brandon Marshall is no stranger when it comes to supporting and fighting the fight against Mental Illness. In the past Marshall has been fined by the NFL ($10,500), which he later matched and donated to his foundation the Brandon Marshall Foundation. Marshall was fined for raising awareness of mental illness by wearing green shoes during Mental Illness Awareness week last October. As the fight continues it’s good to know that we are not alone and that there are still people willing to stand up and advocate for the millions of people who are unable to advocate for themselves.
