Barbara Cultraro, Cultraro Automazione Engineering – Participant in the ASSIST IN initiative 2014
“Open a Business in the United States is a complex project as a whole, the timelines are long, if it included the transfer of Italian people with practices relating to Business Visa as investor. ASSIST IN support was invaluable and essential for research and the signing of contracts with professionals, lawyers and accountants who specialize in the Italian and American legislation, essential to set up the business at best, respecting the rules of both countries, using the best of both.”
Marco Piccolo, Reynaldi – reynaldi.it – Participant in the Global Access Program 2014
“GAP is a great way for companies to understand their potential of entering the U.S. marketplace. With all of the primary research we had the opportunity to obtain lots of sensitive information directly from U.S.
competitors, customers, distributors, experts, manufacturers and suppliers. The students acquired a huge amount of data. It was incredible! We developed an understanding of the different mentality and approach we needed to take to succeed in the U.S. market. It was an inexpensive way to enter the U.S. with a product that would have taken a lot of time and money had we gone to outside consultants.
”
How to approach the market
Filippo Ferraris, Enerbrain - enerbrain.com – Participant in the Mentoring Program 2015
“Expanding a company in the US market is both extremely ambitious and complex, not only because it is an extremely competive market, but also because there are fundamental cultural and structural differences that are hard to understand without living there or being american.Having a mentor is the best way to understand the rules to play the game, and having a trustable coach helping the team is invaluable.”
