Find and save an image of the national flag for the country you have been designated.

Combine the flag image with the image of yourself taken by your ICT teacher – you will be
directed to the drive where the images are stored.

Access the ICT Year 11A Wiki via the invitation from your ICT teacher.
Add your name, your email address, and the image created in Task 4.

Collect and store the following details about your designated country:
1. Two major IT companies and say what they do
2. Identify the leader of the country include an image and short text
3. Find details about 3 famous people from the country (must have, first name,
surname, nationality, DOB, age at death and reason for being famous)
4. The cost to hire a car and give details of the type of car a picture and special features
5. Describe 3 meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner that you might eat
6. The airport landed at and location
7. The language spoken and example of common words – hello, please, thank you and
any other of that may be of interest.
8. The name of the currency
9. The cost of the flight from the country previously visited. (made clear by your ICT
teacher)
10. The temperature in the country on today
11. The exchange rate of the currency against the pound
12. The distance from previous country in miles
13. The population of the country
14. The cost to spend 3 nights in a hotel. Give its name, rating, location and list of
facilities

Using the details in previous task, points 1 – 8 design an A4 poster to attract tourist to the
country (do not use any other details). Ensure you use a sensible file name.

If you can, convert the poster into a PDF and upload it to your section of the wiki. If you
cannot convert if to a PDF upload it as it is.
Task 9. (use pencil or pen and paper for this task)
Make careful notes about the construction of the spreadsheet. Ensure you noted down
formula details and watched the example closely.
Task 10. (use a web browser and web 2.0 tool for this task)
Transfer the details from points 8 – 14 from Task 6 to the wiki so that your classmates can
access the data. Please ensure it is all labelled clearly.

Build the spreadsheet (with a sensible filename) as instructed and access the wiki to find the
details added by everyone else in the class.
