Zach Toczynski is the Director of Global Anti-Counterfeiting at Levi Strauss & Co. In
his position, he has developed and managed the multinational hard goods and
Internet IP enforcement programs for publishers of entertainment software
products in the Americas and Asia.

Further responsibilities include formulating and implementing creative strategies
for piracy prevention, within a legal framework, directing the development and
implementation of an interactive online training portal used to identify infringing
game products and illegal devices that are utilized by law enforcement worldwide,
managing investigations to support civil enforcement programs for rights holders,
supporting multinational criminal investigations, directing intelligence gathering
and undercover operations.

He has previously directed overseas anti-piracy retail sweeps for international
member companies, has offered criminal search warrant assistance and expert
testimony for criminal cases and created and implemented the anti-piracy training

and court system employees on illegal hard goods products and strategies for
combating online software piracy.

As a Trademark Attorney at Microsoft, Andrea holds responsibility for the
worldwide trademark and domain portfolio of several Microsoft business
groups, including clearance of marks, filing strategy, design protection,
administrative dispute proceedings, enforcement against third parties, and
advising on the new gTLD program.
Dealing with keyword/search policies, notice and takedown policies, brand
guidelines and licenses, advising on the legal issues related to advertising,
marketing, and PR, supporting business transactions, staying current on

Johnson & Johnson, Roy Albani leads and guides eight segments and their

diversion and other illicit trade. He also fuels business growth and ensures

• This session investigates the online world of
counterfeit products and how best to constrain and
collapse current counterfeiting operations that
inhibit future growth
• What best practices can restrain counterfeit sales

Terri Chen heads up the Trademark department at Google. She was
recognized as one of the "25 Most Influential People in IP" by The
American Lawyer. Before joining Google in 2005, she practiced in the
Intellectual Property Litigation~Trademarks & Advertising group at Wilson
Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and clerked for the Honorable Audrey B. Collins,
United States District Court, Central District of California. Terri received
both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California
at Berkeley.

Matt Bogaard is the Head of Corporate Security & Operations at DreamWorks
Animation. He oversees corporate security and facility operations including
business continuity planning, intellectual property protection, global threat
assessment, compliance, risk management, and safety. Matt works collaboratively
with the other major movie studios in content protection and ongoing anti-piracy
efforts.
Prior to this, he spent 15 years in law enforcement in a variety of assignments
including managing investigations. Among others, he investigated a wide variety of
crimes including kidnappings for ransom and complex financial crimes with an
emphasis in high technology.
He is currently pursuing his doctorate from USC with an emphasis in how emerging
technology is changing the world of corporate security. He earned his MA in public
administration from USC and he earned his BA in sociology from the University of
Michigan.

Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen heads the Intellectual Property Group of the Business
& Legal Affairs Department of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE). She
was previously an associate at Gursky & Ederer, LLP, and before that, at
Schweitzer, Cornman, Gross & Bondell, LLP, both IP firms in New York City.

This session explores the WWE’s
multidisciplinary approach to dealing
with counterfeiting issues by focusing
on 5 major areas; including:

Lauren is responsible for counseling for best branding strategy for enhancing and
developing strong trademark rights worldwide. She is personally responsible for
all trademark availability analyses and manages all trademark opposition and
cancellation proceedings worldwide.
By overseeing the WWE Anti-Piracy Program, she is required to devote significant
attention to overseeing the enforcement of WWE’s rights through the monitoring
of online piracy and DMCA takedowns, cease-and-desist notices for sale of
counterfeit physical goods, domain name arbitrations, seizures and litigation.

Christina Monteiro serves as Counsel at NBCUniversal in its Trademark Group. She
engages in all aspects of trademark, unfair competition, domain name and related
intellectual property practice for diverse NBCUniversal divisions, including its premier
motion picture company, valuable portfolio of entertainment television networks,
digital and interactive media, consumer products, and theme parks. She partners with
business leaders in these areas to develop and implement effective strategies for the
protection, enforcement, acquisition, and expansion of branded assets worldwide.

Christina was previously an attorney in New York City with the law firms Loeb & Loeb
LLP and Donovan & Yee LLP. She was responsible for a wide variety of transactional
and adversarial matters involving intellectual property, brand protection, advertising
claims, licensing, and related contract issues for prominent clients in the media,
entertainment, fashion, and publishing industries.
She serves on the Executive Committee and as a Trustee of The Copyright Society of
the USA, on the Trademark Reporter Committee of the International Trademark
Association, and formerly served on the Trademark and Unfair Competition
Committee of the New York City Bar Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts in
Philosophy from Fairfield University and her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N.
Cardozo School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
Ms. Monteiro is admitted to practice before California, New York, and Connecticut
state courts.

He has experience developing and implementing a global trademark and brand
protection strategy and licensing and leveraging IP assets. In addition, he has managed
complex intellectual property licensing and litigation in various international
proceedings, U.S. federal courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission and has
also provided counsel regarding cross-border trade, customs, and outreach to foreign
governments on intellectual property matters.
He is also an inventor or co-inventor on pending patents dealing with mobile
applications, augmented and virtual reality, gaming and anti-counterfeiting
technology. Mr. Pierce is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, served
as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, and attained the rank of Captain prior to going to
the George Washington University Law School.
