Seniors!!!
SENIORS: THE FAFSA IS NOW AVAILABLE!
PLAN ON APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
The sooner you complete the FAFSA the better the opportunities to qualify for more funds. All
students must complete the FAFSA before May 1st, 2016 in order to be considered for both
Federal and State funds but the college/university may have an earlier deadline.
If you have special situations, i.e. not living with parents, parents that do not want to provide
financial aid information, etc., you will have to make an appointment with a financial aid
advisor at the college you will be attending so that they can review your special circumstance.
You must complete and submit a FAFSA to apply for federal student aid and to apply for most
state aid and college aid. Apply online with FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.gov.

Apply faster – Sign your FAFSA online with a FSA ID. Get your FSA ID at
www.StudentAid.gov/fsaid. Once you receive your FSA ID you can electronically sign when
you submit your FAFSA. One of your parents need to apply for an FSA ID to sign
electronically.
You will need the following information to complete the FAFSA:
 Your Social Security Number and your parent’s Social Security Numbers.
 Your driver’s license number if you have one.
 Your Alien Registration Number if you are not a U.S. citizen
 2015 federal income tax returns (including IRS W-2 information) for yourself and for your parents
if you are providing parental information. If 2015 taxes are not available you can use your
2014 information and update your application after 2015 taxes are available.
 Information on savings, investments, and business and farm assets for yourself and your parents
if you are providing parental information.
