Major topics are GDP, inflation, and employment. This course introduces macroeconomic analysis. The required textbook or etextboook for this course is Macroeconomics, Hubbard and O’brien , 5th edition. Depending on the topic, readings from newspaper or magazines articles will be required. All exams must be answered with pen. Answers with pencil will not be accepted. Cell phones can not be used during exams for any type of usage including but not limited to calculations. Make Up Exams Policy: make up exams will ONLY be offered for documented emergencies. You can email me or you can call the Department and leave a message concerning your emergency. The Department’s phone number is 305-348-2316 at University Park Campus. After the verification of the validity of the documentation you will be offered the make up exam. NO MAKE UP EXAMS will be offered if you miss a exam, it will count as a failure for that specific exam. Video and Audio Recording Policy: you are not allowed to video or audio record my lectures or exams. Be advised that your cell phone, and any other recording device should be turned off during my lectures. Also, computers should be turned off. Assessments: you will have 8 assessments. The lowest grade will be dropped. Only the 7 assessments with the highest grades will count towards your total grade.
