How Did Your Town Spend
the SIP Bonus Money?
Ray Townsend
North Wildwood invites employees and their families to its annual
"Safety Beach Bash". We report our results for the current year as
compared to prior years and encourage all employees to continue with
a “Safety First” attitude.
It has been received well for the past several years
and improves employee morale and safety.
How Did Your Town Spend
the SIP Bonus Money?
Northfield hosted a "Safety & Wellness Fair" for
employees, retirees, and volunteers. Several health and
wellness practitioners offered free blood-sugar, cholesterol,
and blood pressure screenings; chiropractic evaluations
and information on back safety/proper lifting; vitamins,
supplements and holistic approaches to health care and
fitness. Staff was treated to a holiday luncheon buffet and
were able to explore opportunities for a safer and healthier
lifestyle at the same time!
GREAT MORALE BOOSTER!
Lower Twp First Annual Picnic
Held First Annual Employee
Safety Picnic at one a local
campground. It was a huge
success! Campground donated
use of their facility. Water,
soda, and salads were donated
by local merchants. Ice was
donated by our local fire
departments and we provided
employees with a delicious
barbeque lunch from a local
caterer.
Rewards like these improve employee
morale and safety awareness!
Hamilton Twp
• Safety Day with an
Olympic Theme
– Complete with skits and a
bob sled competition
– Video presentation to
share with others
– Flying Fickle Finger of
Safety awarded
Great way to reward employee participation in the
Township Safety Program and improve morale!
Cape May City
Physical and
Financial Health Fair
Several area banks participated as did members of
the EMT Squad who took Blood Pressure and
Pulse readings for employees.
Cape Regional Medical Center sent nurses who
gave a cholesterol screening and a breathing
analysis test.
Lunch was provided for everyone. Gift bags with
information inside were distributed to employees
to guide them in making healthy choices.
Much better attended than last year; held at
Convention Hall.
