Who: Rising 9th – 12th grade Female students.
What: Columbia College 2015 Girl’s Summer Leadership Institute – Students build
leadership skills depending on age bracket. Rising 9th – Foundations of Leadership.
Rising 10th-11th – Building Leadership Framework. Rising 12th – Becoming a Future
Ready Leader.
Where: Columbia College
When: Student Nomination by April 1, 2015. Registration for Rising 9th graders
is May 1, 2015 for June 14-19, 2015 session. Registration for Rising 10-12th
graders is June 15, 2015 for July 26-31, 2015 sessions.

Who: Rising 10-12th Grade Students
What: The George Washington University College Intensive (Rising 11th-12th) and
Summer Immersion Programs (Rising 10-12th). – College Intensive Program offers
students the opportunity to earn college credit by engaging in challenging
undergraduate level courses. 3 and 6 Week Sessions available with a 6 Week
Online Session, as well. Summer Immersion Program is a full day, non-credit
earning program that integrates lectures and active learning.

Who: Rising 10th-12th Grade Students interested in the Arts and Designs field.
What: SCAD (Savannah College of Arts and Design) Summer Seminars. Students
gain valuable educational experience while developing their creative vision through
exciting art and design assignments and projects.
Where: Sessions are held at SCAD’s Atlanta or Savannah locations.

Who: High School Juniors – Unweighted 3.5 or higher grade point average – Family
earning under $60,000 anually with minimal or no assets.
What: QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship. The program is specifically designed
to give talented 11th graders the preparation to get into top colleges for free with
generous financial aid.

Who: Rising 9th and 10th Grade females exceling in Math and Science.
What: Clemson University’s – We Do Math! Summer Camp. The camp is designed to
work with young ladies in the math and sciences to help build self esteem, ability to
work together, and gain an understanding of life on a college campus.

What: Broyhill Leadership Conference – Personal Development and Leadership
Training.

What: Youth Programs at Duke University - Duke Youth Programs is a part of Duke
University Continuing Studies and has provided summer academic enrichment for
academically motivated youth for over 30 years. Each summer approximately 650
youth from around the nation and world, representing some 22 states and 5
different countries, attend one of our summer programs.

Who: Rising 10-12th Grade Students
What: Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge – Students will learn more about
running their own company at a 5-day overnight camp. Students will: Experience an
independent college setting, get advice from real-world guest speakers, interact
with top performing students around the world, and learn to become a better leader
by actually running a business.

What: University of South Carolina Summer Music Programming – The Savvy
Musician in Action, Carolina Summer Music Conservatory, Conductors Institute of
South Carolina, Southeastern Piano Festival, USC Summer Drum Major Clinic,
Carolina Opera Experience, String Program Summer Camp.

What: Clemson University’s Center for Corporate Learning Reading Skills and Speed
Reading Programs. Program for Rising 9th-11th grade students – Students double
reading speed, make substantial gains in comprehension, and learn study skills.
Programs for Rising 12th grade – Adults – Program is designed to double reading
speed, improve comprehension, concentration, and retention.

What: Clemson University 2015 Summer Scholars Program – Fun and educational
residential programs in June, July, and August. Programs range from Engineering
and Biology to Audio Engineering and Music Production (24 total program

Who: Rising Juniors and Seniors
What: New York University (NYU) Precollege – Offers High School students the
opportunity to experience NYU by spending six weeks living and learning in their
community. The focus will be on academics in the classroom, developing college
level writing skills, preparing for college admissions, and cultural exploration.

What: Oberlin Conservatory Summer Programs 2015 – Various Programs

What: University Test Prep SAT/ACT Summer Institutes Preparation Courses –
Students will learn test taking strategies in the different subjects of the standardized
tests.

Who: High School Students (Ages 16+)
What: Worth Boys and Girls Camp – Junior Counselor Application. The Worthy
Boys and Girls Camp is a volunteer overnight recreational camp that is operated by
the Rock Hill Police Department for youth ages 9-12 that reside in York County.
Junior Counselors are assigned to a cabin to assist other counselors with the
campers. You will also be expected to interact with the campers and be a positive
role model to the youth.

What: Redesigning Our Future: A National Environmental Summit for High School
Students. - An eye-opening experience for you to explore leadership roles, engage in
unique activities& meet people from across the nation with the same passion for the
environment as you!

What: Charlotte DigiGirlz High Tech Camp - Introduces High School girls to the
many career fields offered within the High Tech industry. During the camp, DigiGirlz
opportunities including Xbox game testing, Microsoft Studio broadcasting and
Product development and marketing. Features hands-on activities, keynote speaker,
career/tech tours, resume workshops and panels.
