DESCRIPTION
Crossing the sober door, which gives access to 70 hectares of domains Mas Mateu we enter a unique
world where the majesty of the great house, the extensive garden with its olive groves, pastures,
meadows and the forest allow us to disconnect from the daily routine and experience the tranquility
enjoying their own as never done before.
La Casa Pairal is a primary residence of more than 1,400 m² of great eighteenth-century Catalan
farmhouse complemented by more than 1,200 m² of residential structures. The villa retains all the
splendor and the style of the elegant mansions of the era, at the same time offering the most modern
amenities withing its glittering walls. The house has capacity for twenty people, with accommodation
for additional staff, which makes it ideal a private family getaway, a special honeymoon or an informal
party.
Leisure inside and outside the house
On the main facade dominated by a majestic sundial, there is a gracefully arched door leading to a
series of cozy rooms, with magnificent views of various places in the region, highlighting
the snowcapped Pyrenees in winter, the flowering of natural park "Les Gavarres" in spring or the
magnificent sunsets over the plains in summer and autumn, ideal place for relaxing with friends.
Beautiful alabaster walls frame the majestic fireplace large living room, making it an ideal place to curl
up with your favorite book.
There are ten suites in the house, each one is unique and is decorated in delicate Catalan shades,
complemented by carpets from local origin, unique family heirlooms, and individual fireplaces, some
open their own private terrace with great views of the landscape of the Baix Empordà. Dive into a
delicious and large bath oval, surrounded by glass walls which open onto the large natural park of
"Gavarres", for maximum peace of mind.
