Suggestions for Success:
Assignments are opened each Thursday. You will have until the end of the day on the following
Wednesday to complete the assignment.
Use the Study Island lesson plans. If you find that you are consistently getting problems wrong, view the lesson that is associated. This may help you to understand your error and complete the task. It may be a good idea to view it prior to the assignment.
Keep a notebook of work. Although these problems are completed on the computer, you will need scrap paper to work out problems. Keep a notebook of all of your work throughout your Study
Island experience. If you are really stuck on a problem, write it down and bring it to class for review on Thursday or e-mail your teacher the question.
Use test-taking strategies. You may find that using test-taking strategies will be very beneficial.
One of the best strategies is to cross off the wrong answers before you pick the correct one.
Almost always, two of the answers will cancel out immediately giving you a good chance to get the problem correct.
Use the back of this sheet to track and organize your progress.
If you are unable to have computer access, get a resource pass to the Library or a computer lab prior to the due date.
