Be on time and be prepared for class. “Be present” in class. Be willing to put forth your best effort. The chewing of gum or eating of candy/snacks is not permitted. Use pencil for all written quizzes/tests. CLASS EXPECTATIONS Attend class and be in your seat before the late bell. Actively participate in class. Complete all assignments to the best of your ability. Ask questions when you do not understand. Try hard and do your best. CONSEQUENCES First offense – Verbal Warning given to student Second offense – Parent Contact (via email or telephone) Third Offense –Detention (lunch/P.M.) After Third offense – In –School Parent Conference scheduled in cooperation with Guidance Department. ***Three lates to class will result in automatic discipline referral to administration. *Student Contract will be presented on 1st day of class and is available to print from the AMS Eboard. GRADING SYSTEM Major Assessments 33.3% (Tests, Projects) Minor Assessments (Graded Classwork, Homework & Quizzes) 66.7% Homework & Projects turned in late will receive a -5 point deduction for each day after due date. *Exception: “Extended Time” must be specified as a modification in student’s IEP/504 Plan. GENESIS – Online Grading Students’ attendance, grading for Major & Minor Assessments is available in Parent Module of Genesis system. Parent must register with district first in order to obtain access. Please contact me regarding any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child’s grades. CLASS DOJO APP • Used to provide immediate teacher feedback regarding students’ daily class performance (attendance, on task performance, helpfulness & behavior) • Both student and their parent(s) will receive access codes to review class performance daily and weekly via IPAD or Iphone • Reward system to be put in place to reward students earning the highest points weekly (individual) and monthly (class) SCHOOLWIRES EBOARD Daily Classwork, and Homework assignments are posted on the Homework Eboard by Block period and Teacher Name. When absent, students are granted two days (for each day of an excused absence) to make up missed work. ANY QUESTIONS?
