 To introduce you to Team Leidos
 For them to share with you some of the key elements of their
solution and the impact this may have on the sites
 To let you know what is going to happen between now and 1 August 2015
(Service Commencement Day and Vesting Day)
 To let you know that we will be working jointly with Team Leidos on a
number of activities until Service Commencement Day (and Vesting Day)

 Like you, our priority is to ensure that Front Line Commands get what they
need, when they need it
 We recognise the significant progress that has already been made within
LCS in recent years. The MOD has asked us to take it to the next stage.
 Our private sector defence and logistics specialists have the global
expertise to help us to deliver the next important step on our transformation
journey

Team Leidos – New Capability & Investment
Team Leidos brings the experience and private sector investment that the
MOD needs going forward:
 Leidos’ integration and technology will enable enhanced communication,
control and visibility across the supply chain.
 Kuehne+Nagel will optimise the MOD’s distribution and freight network,
and storage footprint
 TVS will introduce improved procurement processes, resulting in reductions
in stockholdings and commodity prices.
We also have a number of specialist companies lined up to deliver additional
capabilities when required.
Team Leidos – New Opportunities
The LCS Transformation programme will provide opportunities for
you to:
 learn and develop new skills through industry recognised training
and development programmes
 progress your career across Team Leidos and within the individual
contractor companies
 be part of an improved and reconfigured LCS(T) operation that will
be focused on continual improvement and success.
Now until 1st August
 1st August is Service Commencement Date (and Vesting Day)
 We will use the time until then to get to know one another and prepare to
deliver the contract IN THREE WAYS:

Our staff will visit
LCS sites to verify
information provided
during the bid
process so we are
ready to deliver the
contract from 1st
August
1-2-1 MEETINGS
You will have an
opportunity to meet
with a representative
from the company
you are transferring
to and to ask
questions, discuss
your role and share
your aspirations
TRADES UNIONS
Trades Unions have
been issued with a
TUPE Transfer
Consultative
Document which starts
the 3 month
consultation period
 Until 1st August you remain employees of MOD and should continue
to deliver business as usual
Vesting Day
 On 1st August you will TUPE transfer to one of four
Team Leidos companies
 Terms and Conditions of employment, continuous
employment and collective agreements will transfer.
You will be able to continue in your pension scheme
while you remain engaged in delivering the LCS(T)
contract
 We will welcome you to one of our companies with
a company induction
 Soon afterwards, your new employer will issue
you with any uniform, PPE or other equipment you
require to do your job

A quick reminder of what is happening
between now and Vesting Day (1 August)
KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
Team Leidos staff will visit LCS sites to verify information provided during the bid process it is ready to
deliver the contract from 1 August 2015. Please provide help where required
1-2-1 MEETINGS
You will have an opportunity to meet with a representative from the company you are transferring to and to

TRADES UNIONS

Confirmation letters – Identifying which of the Team Leidos organisation you will be transferring to
There will be two further “Special” Providers, one in the next few day and a further edition a month before
Service Commencement Date (and Vesting Day).
