The purpose of the homework is to improve Spanish language skills and thereby to prepare the student for frequent quizzes (“exams”) and final exam; to complete and turn them in after the fact defeats their purpose. Students may work ahead with the homework, but may not work behind and receive points. See page 6 of the syllabus for a list of due dates and pages 6-7 for homework instructions. Grading: Quizzes will be given on a regular basis and the final exam will be cumulative. All course work grades will be averaged to obtain the semester grade. Incomplete grades are given only in emergency situations, not for routine failure to complete the requirements of the course. The circumstance must be as a result of documented unforeseen events.
