ECAP: 4-Year Plan Why are we doing a 4 year plan? • To make a personalized plan to maximize your time here at Desert Vista • To set goals that will give you direction for your high school experience • To choose classes that appeal to you according to your interests How to Choose Courses • Good Reasons to take classes • Build necessary skills to be successful • Possibly earn college credit in your field of interest • So you don’t waste time in high school – you learn about your field of interests Bad reasons to pick a class • My friends are taking this class • I heard the teacher was easy • To raise my GPA/Class Rank Take out your 4-year plan sheet Filling Out the Four-Year Plan •There will only be six rows filled out for each year unless you are taking a zero or eighth hour. •Make sure you have included all the required courses (they are shaded) for each year.
