Sharing Wishes Fall Wish List
This list was created by the 36 families currently participating in the FSP
Message from FSP Case Managers:
Once again, we were overwhelmed by your generosity!
Through a donation from a TeamSoft employee, we were
able to provide a bed for a couple who had been sleeping
on the floor. They have expressed their gratitude many
times and how wonderful it is to have a bed to sleep in.
One family enjoys movie and popcorn nights together, but
they had to discontinue this tradition for a while because
the mother had to try and sweep the dropped popcorn out
of the carpet. The mom said the kids are thrilled to be
able to have popcorn with movies again.
Families have been grateful for the donations of the
cleaning wipes and toilet bowl cleaners. These types of
cleaning supplies are expensive, and the FSP does not
have funds in our budget for these types of supplies.
The gift cards to Woodman’s helped a family who was
struggling to feed their family of 5. They were even able
to purchase a birthday cake for their 7-year-old son as a
special treat.
Thank you so much for the all of your generous donations
over the past few months. They have made a positive
impact on the lives of the families we work with.

Message from the Salvation Army’s Director of Social
Services:
The Salvation Army’s Family Stabilization Program (FSP)
relies on funding through the Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) and the United Way of Dane
County. Unfortunately, the FSP is losing the funding that
comes from HUD effective August 31, 2014, through the
end of the year. This funding deficit would impact our
ability to serve approximately 18 families, as we would
have had to eliminate one of our case management
positions.
TeamSoft has generously donated $5,000 from their
TCGC budget and the Sharing Wishes fund. The
donation made by TeamSoft and a few other Madison
companies will help secure both case managers through
the end of 2014.
We will be fully funded for 2015. This is just a one-time
bump in the road for our program.
Thanks for your help and support.
