AP Chemistry

This will count as your first Graded assignment for first semester

You will be dropped from AP Chemistry if you do not complete the assignment
and score at least a 70/100
Due Date: First Day of School at the tardy bell.

You will need to obtain the AP Chemistry Textbook “Chemistry” by Zumdahl
(7th edition) . *Copies of the needed chapters will be left in the assistant
principal’s office this summer.
Essential Knowledge
1.
Memorize your polyatomic ions without fault.
2. Memorize your solubility rules.
3. Know what the VSEPR model is about and know your molecular shapes (ie
tetrahedral, trigonal pyramidal, trigonal planar, bent etc.) see tables 8.6, 8.7,
8.8 in chapter 8.
4. Know your intermolecular attractive forces (imaf’s). chapter 10 page 426 - 428
First Week of School you will be quizzed on 1. – 4. above
