Curriculum/Assessment
Curriculum: This month, I will be organizing vertical team meetings with the
administration team and teams of teachers (that went to the CCSS Workshops) to begin
the process of transitioning to the CCSS’s.
Assessment: The US Government EOC’s were completed in December.
The MAP-Grade Level (3-8) Assessments will be ordered and pre-coded through MOSIS.
Stanford 10 for grades K-2 will also be ordered. EOC’s will be ordered and pre-coded in
February. The ACCESS assessments for ELL have arrived and will be administered this
month.
Core Data: The next reporting month is February. I have already begun collecting the
data for state reporting.
A+ Schools Program: This month, I will be auditing the A+ files to make sure students
are in compliance with the program requirements. I will also be looking for students
that are not enrolled in the program that are in compliance with the requirements and
recruit them into the program. Letters will be going out to students and parents to
notify them of the upcoming changes in the program and status of where the student
stands for attendance, grades, tutoring hours, etc.
In February, we will be able to sign and send our Notification of Assurances to DESE to
get Diamond High School designated as an A+ School by the Missouri State Board of
Education.
