Honors Faculty Roundtable Agenda Mills College: October 1, 2011 Lokey Graduate School of Business Event Goals The Bay Honors Consortium invites community college honors faculty to the beautiful Mills College campus for a day focused on honors education. This first-ever Honors Faculty Roundtable has four goals: To reinvigorate honors faculty with the wonderful opportunities inherent in educating highly motivated students; To give honors faculty specific tools and ideas they can use in their next honors course, contract, colloquia or student interaction; To promote collegial dialogue among honors faculty in similar disciplines from a wide range of colleges; and To help honors faculty incorporate research into their honors courses and gain insider tips to assist their students with the Honors Research Symposium. Honors work at a community college is often the spark that inspires students to become scholars and pursue graduate degrees.
