WHAT IS THE DOLLARS FOR DRAGONS (DFD) PROGRAM?
Dollars for Dragons (DFD/Scrip) is a yearlong fundraising program where
Corinth Elementary families buy and redeem cards at face value. Because
Corinth PTA purchases these cards at a discount, DFD/Scrip makes money
every time you shop. Money raised from this program is a income line item
in our PTA budget and is used to fund PTA activities such as teacher grants,
field trips, cultural events, and other school activities.
WHY USE Dollars for Dragons (DFD/SCRIP) GIFT CARDS?
DFD/Scrip is the only fundraiser that allows you to make money for Corinth
Elementary School without spending an extra dime! How? By using gift
cards and coupon books to pay for things you would be paying for anyway-groceries, gas, travel, and eating out.
HOW SHOULD I USE DFD/Scrip?
DFD gift cards aren’t just for gifts. The best way to raise money for our
school is to use cards purchased through DFD for your frequent, high
volume purchases such as grocery and gas.
May we suggest that you start by simply purchasing a grocery coupon book
or gift card for something you buy every week? This will get you in the
habit of using these items and, each time you do, you are raising funds for
your child’s school.
Coupon books are available for Hen House, HyVee and Price Chopper. Buy
a coupon book for $5 and redeem the $5 coupon inside towards your
grocery bill total and you break-even. Corinth gets $4 or an 80% return!!
Use or donate the remaining coupons or simply recycle the coupon book.
This is a painless way to fundraise.
HOW DO I ORDER? Paper Order: Paper order forms can be printed off from the Corinth
website (click here to print an order form) or picked up in the office.
Periodically, you will receive a DFD/Scrip newsletter that will have an order
form attached.
Simply complete the order form, attach a check payable to Corinth PTA and
send it with your child to school by Tuesday morning each week. You may
also drop your order off in the school office. Orders must be in the school
office by 10:00 a.m. each Tuesday to receive your order that same Friday.
You may have your order sent home with your child or it may be picked up
in the school lobby between 2:45 – 3:15 p.m. that Friday afternoon.

Before your first purchase you must set up a ShopwithScrip.com account
using enrollment code D3D49512122LL to link your account to Corinth
Elementary School. There is no cost to place your order online. Click here
to set up your online account.
Online orders can be paid by check by sending your check to school by
10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning or by online payment on the
ShopwithScrip.com website if you’ve established a PrestoPay
account. There is a 15¢ per transaction fee for online payment. To
establish a PrestoPay account, click the PrestoPay option on the
ShopwithScrip.com website and follow the instructions.
Corinth receives the same rebate on the gift cards regardless if the cards
are ordered online or via paper. Online orders received by 10:00 a.m.
Tuesday will be delivered that same Friday via backpack mail.
DFD/Scrip Shop: The DFD/Scrip program maintains a modest inventory of
popular items ordered from DFD/Scrip. You may purchase from our
inventory every Friday afternoon from 2:45-3:15 p.m. and the First Friday
morning of each month from 7:45-8:15 a.m. in the school lobby. So, if you
need that last minute gift card or forgot to place your order that week, stop
by and stock up for the weekend. Shop purchases must be paid for by
check made out to Corinth PTA. Click here to access this year’s shop

Watch for increased shop hours during the holidays and include DFD/Scrip
in your holiday giving plans.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES TO ORDERING ONLINE?
-convenience of not having to remember to send the paper order in via
backpack mail or hand delivery to the office. You can place your order
when you are thinking of it, regardless of the time of day or day of the
week.
-you have access to ALL vendors and ALL denominations available that
Great Lake Scrips (our gift card supplier) has to offer, including some that
are ONLY available online. Space is limited on our paper form, so we only
list some of the offerings available.
-you still can order gift cards/certificates online from our local vendors.
- by ordering and paying online, you reduce the amount of paper used and
your check stock will last longer.
-reload rather than replace a gift card. Our online option is the only way to
reload a card. Check online to see which vendors offer this feature.
WHAT IS SCRIPNOW!?
Another product available to our online families is ScripNow! Scripnow! Is
the quickest way to purchase an eGift for you to use for your regular
purchases or for a friend in seconds from various retailers. ScripNow! Can
be delivered and used in minutes by using PrestoPay, or pay by check and
the items will be released by the DFD/Scrip Coordinator.
Benefits to ScripNow! Include:
-plan your shopping in advance by scheduling an eGift to be delivered on a
specific date up to one year in advance.
-take care of last minute shopping and have your favorite gift cards
delivered directly through email almost instantly.
-add your personal touch by including a message to the recipient, and in
some cases even selecting the look of your gift card.
-save some green by eliminating the time and cost of shipping while also
helping to reduce waste with earth-friendly eGift.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO ORDER!
Don’t know what to give someone? DFD/Scrip Gift Certificates are the
perfect solution. Available in any amount, these Gift Certificates allow the
recipient to purchase the gift cards of their choice from DFD/Scrip. This is
the perfect answer for Teachers, Coaches, Staff, and special thank you gifts.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF GIFT CARDS THAT I NEED TO ORDER?
No! There is no minimum order required. We appreciate every order, no
matter the dollar amount.
CAN GRANDPARENTS, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, OR CORINTH ALUMNI
PURCHASE DFD GIFT CARDS?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
Anyone wishing to support Corinth can participate in this program. All they
need is an order form with your child’s name on the form with a check
included made out to Corinth PTA. Send the order in as you would your
own personal order or include their items in your order. The order will be
returned to you for delivery.
HOW DO THE GROCERY STORE COUPON BOOKS WORK?
The three main grocery stores in our area offer coupons to the school at a
discount. Corinth buys the coupon book for $1 and sells it to you for $5.
The first coupon in the book is for $5 off your grocery bill, so you get your
money back right away. Additional savings can be realized by using the
remaining coupons in the book. For each coupon book you buy, Corinth
realizes $4 in earnings (an 80% return!). Unfortunately, gift cards from
these stores are not available.
ARE LOCAL BUSINESSES REPRESENTED IN THIS PROGRAM?
Yes, they are and they are available for order via paper order form or
online! The DFD/Scrip coordinators’ job is to secure gift cards from local
businesses for repurchase by you. Also, we are always looking for new
businesses to add. Let us know if there is a local business you would like us
to talk to.
