Mobile, Connected TV and new media devices Tokyo Study Tour, New Media Network 23.1 – 26.1 2012 Introduction As the media-industry is shifting - TV, movie and mobile are constantly facing new challenges forcing companies to innovate and explore for new opportunities. Japan and Tokyo is in the very forefront of technological innovation with globally acknowledged companies such as Sony, Gree, NHK, KDDI and many more. Tokyo, is together with California, New York and London the huge melting pots for this industry change, and was way ahead of most western countries with sophisticated business models and advanced content on the mobile screen, and is again, together with Seoul, where the future of both mobile and TV is under construction. The tablet as well as the smartphones are now creating significant shifts in media behavior for several generations, as an incredible amount of compelling content is made available both from newcomers and from the old media industry. Who will be the winners in this clash between global and regional giants? How will will value chains be reconstructed and what will be the power of the global technology giants as they clash or collaborate with strong regional media companies? What will be the effect on the rest of the media-industry? Og Tokyo er en gigantisk by… • Dresskode: Mørk dress og slips for menn og tilsvarende for kvinner. Husk gode sko. NHK definerer fremtiden i tre nivåer. Nivå 1 er de kommende to år. Her vil fokuset ligger på hybrid TV. I softwaren har de bygget inn en funksjon som gjør at de automatisk tar opp 7 kanaler, 24 timer i døgnet 2 måneder tilbake i tid. http://garapon.tv/ DWANGO Established in 1997 with the goals to plan, develop, manage and support network game systems as well as providing consultation.
