COURSE SUMMARY: This course is a cross-listed course, available to students in either business or psychology. It is a prerequisite to many courses in the Human Resource Management concentration. Industrial/ organizational psychology is the study of psychology applied to work. I emphasize the psychological concepts and principles as they influence our work lives. I am an industrial/organizational psychologist by training, and I am the author of the textbook for this course. It is the leading textbook in the field of industrial/organizational psychology in the nation. In my career as a student I never had a course where the professor wrote the textbook. If you have ever read a book and questioned why something was written as it was, this is your chance to ask the person who wrote it. I welcome your questions and comments.
