Student and Registry Services Relocation

As part of the adoption of new working practices and the ongoing relocation of Professional Services divisions, Student and Registry Services will be moving from the South Wing, the Wilkins Building and 2 Taviton Street to the more centralised location of 1-19 Torrington Place.

On 10 th July the Admissions and the Points Based Immigration teams will be the first to make the move, relocating to the 8 th floor. Following this, on 17 th July, the Access and Student Funding teams will relocate to the 7 th floor whilst, simultaneously, Assessment & Student Records, Portico Services,

Academic Services and the Registrar’s Office will relocate to the 9 th floor of Torrington Place.

The relocation of staff will also represent a step towards full integration of SRS services between the

IOE and UCL following the recent merger as a number of staff from the IOE will also be joining their respective teams in Torrington Place over this period.

Staff from International Student Support and Welfare, Student Support and Events, Student

Disability Services and the Study Abroad Team, all of whom form a part of Student Support and

Wellbeing, will remain in the South Wing and 2 Taviton Street in the short-term prior to moving to

Level 4 of the IOE Building. This move is anticipated to take place in Autumn 2015, with dates to be confirmed in due course.

Student Psychological Services and the Student Centre will remain in 3-4 Taviton Street and the ground floor of the Chadwick Building respectively. The Student Centre will continue to operate as the student-facing hub for the Division, and all student-related enquiries should be directed here in the first instance.

The move will coincide with the adoption of agile working and the implementation of Desktop@UCL for all SRS staff, with the ultimate goal to provide increased integration and centralisation of services while promoting dynamic new ways of working which will provide staff with greater flexibility and ensure a sustainable model for usage of space across UCL.
