Groundhog Day
By Allison Johnson
Hey, Gators! Do you know what February 2nd is? It’s Groundhog Day of course! This
is the day where the groundhog checks to see if it will remain winter or change to
spring. If he sees his shadow, it will be spring sooner. If he doesn’t see his shadow, it is
still winter for a little longer. Hope this helped! See you later, Gators!
President’s Day
Snow Day
On the third Monday of February we celebrate
Presidents Day. On this day we honor George
Washington’s work. He was the first president of the
United States. We will have to make that day up as a
snow day. Washington
did great things for
our country, our lives
and our ability to
believe in ourselves.
Hi Gators, I asked kids if they like making up snow days.
Here are the results.

Hi Gators! I’m super excited to tell you all who won Best
Dressed for February. Well, here it goes. The winner is
Miss Wissel’s class! Their theme was Tacky the Penguin!
Their amazing vocabulary, adjectives, and adorable
penguins were awesome! Congratulations Miss Wissel’s
class! But don’t just take it from me Gators. Come see for
yourself. Remember to keep up the great work, and your
class might be the Best Dressed for March!
Congratulations to this month’s outstanding gators. Our girl
is Halley Horvath from Miss House’s class. Miss House
states that Halley is always following directions and also
doesn’t complain. Our boy is Connor White from Mrs.
Webb’s class. Mrs. Webb says that Connor is always
thinking about what is next and listens all the time. He also
shows self control. Great job Halley and Connor. Gators
keep showing your Gator Greats, and you might just be the
next outstanding Gator.

Hi, Gators its Grace here with some ways to reuse bottles:



You can make car using a bottle, bottle caps and
pencils.
You also can reuse the same bottle to drink out of
many times.
Last, you can plant a flower in a bottle!
I hope that you Gators will use these to help your
environment!
Guess the Book
By Conrad Cooper
Hey Gators! Sorry there was no Guess the Book last month.
I kept missing meetings. Anyway, this month’s book is about
a young boy who looks a bit different from everybody else
and gets teased because of that. Good luck guessing Gators!
If you can guess the book, write your answer on a piece of paper
with your name and your teacher’s name on it. Send the paper
down to the office to go in the Gator Gazette mailbox. We will put
all the correct guesses in a bucket and pick one winner who will get
to choose a prize from the Gator Gazette Prize Box. Good luck!
Movie Review for February
By Seth Henderson
Hey, Gators. Last month’s movie review was about
Disney’s Maleficent. The movie review for January is…
Marvel’s the Amazing Spider Man 2! This movie is
about Spider Man ( aka Peter Parker ) facing three
villains, Electro ( aka Max Dillon), Green Goblin ( aka
Harry Osborne), and a short view of the Rhino ( aka
Aleksei Sytsevich). Can Spider Man protect New York
from these three villains? See you next month, Gators.
