Welcome to Economics 1120: Introductory Macroeconomics–Lecture 1 – COURSE SYNOPSIS: This course will introduce you to the basic tools of macroeconomic theory necessary to analyze contemporary economic problems and their proposed solutions. In particular, we will analyze aggregate economic activity in relation to the level, stability, and growth of national income. Topics discussed include the determination and effects of unemployment, inflation, balance of payments, deficits, and economic development, and how these may be influenced by monetary, fiscal and other policies. [Note: Economics 1110 is not a prerequisite for Economics 1120.
