UNILINGUAL LOGO VERSION The clearspace above, below and on each side of the logo is equal to the height of the “A” in CANARIE. UNILINGUAL LOGO AND TAGLINE VERSION The spacing between the logo and the unilingual tagline (including required clearspace below tagline) is determined by the height of the “E” in CANARIE. BILINGUAL LOGO AND TAGLINE VERSION The spacing between the logo and the bilingual tagline (including the space between the English and French taglines) is determined by the height of the “E” in CANARIE. 1 LOGO COLOURS Maintaining the distinctiveness of the CANARIE logo depends on accurate and consistent reproduction of its features. For this reason, no attempt should be made to reproduce the CANARIE colours without using exact percentages of CMYK or the actual Pantone Matching System® (PMS) colours. These formulas can be found in the “Colour” section on page 5. The CANARIE logo should never appear in a box of any colour. Two-or-more-colour version For two-or-more-colour printing, the logo requires CANARIE blue, with the exception of the stylized “A’s,” which require CANARIE green. One-colour version (Gray) Forone-colourprinting,thepreferredtreatmentofthelogorequires solid black, with the exception of the stylized “A’s,” which require 65% black for contrast. One-colour version (Solid) Whencircumstancesdon’tallowforpercentagesofblack,thelogo may appear as solid black on a light background or as solid white on a dark background. CA*net 4 Logo CA*net 4 is Canada’s national optical Internet research and education network. The CA*net 4 logo can be used when describingthenetworkindetail;however,theCANARIElogoshouldremain the primary logo used in print collateral and digital applications. 2 net IMPROPER LOGO USAGE The CANARIE logo should always be reproduced in a manner that avoids visual distraction and maintains the integrity of the design. There are a number of restrictions placed upon the reproduction of the logo. The examples below illustrate unacceptable logo usage. Logo colours may not be altered in any way. No other font may be substituted for the corporate font. The logo may not be positioned on any angle other than 0°. No part of the logo may be distorted, redrawn or redesigned.
