COMMUNICATIONS INFORMATION (CHECK WITH BUILDING CUSTODIAN): Availability of dedicated phone lines. Phone lines must be analog, otherwise the audio conferencing unit will not work unless it is connected to a digital phone, and that, unfortunately, defeats an important feature: autodialing. If necessary, submit a Communications Services Requirements Document (CSRD) for the analog phone connection. Is there an analog line for the classroom audio ? Page 4 of 5 Yes No D. SATELLITE DISH MOUNT LOCATION Non-Penetrating Roof Mount Penetrating Roof Mount Criteria for antenna site selection will be the focus of the site survey. Generally, non-penetrating roof mount antennas require a flat roof for installation. If not available, a ground mount will be used. E. MAINTENANCE & LOGISTIC SUPPORT PLAN: 1. This system does not require technical expertise. Your Site Coordinator will contact the DETN Help Desk to report a malfunction, and the staff will assist the site coordinator in troubleshooting. Convergent Media Systems, Inc., on contract with Hughes, Inc., our current service provider, will provide on-site training upon installation, and there will be assistance via our Web site or our DETN help desk. If there is failure of the dish, the integrated receiver-decoder (IRD), or audio conferencing unit (ACU), repair will be covered by the maintenance contract, which for many sites is centrally funded by your MAJCOM or through the MIST Program Office for medical facilities. For failure of the TV monitor, or the DVR/VHS recorder, individual part warrantees apply. Beyond that, the units pay for replacement. If there is a systemic equipment upgrade, the DETN PMO will seek central (Department level) funding for all sites. For the vast majority of our sites, the equipment has not failed between major upgrades. I. DETN POC INFORMATION: DETN Director: Philip J.-L.
