Developing Professional
Presentations
San Jose State University
Department of Human Performance
2010
Vision Statement
 In our classrooms we now use computers linked to
projection devices to enable cost effective and
professional presentations using slides.
 By presenting information through multimedia
application we are capable of updating information
with little to no expense. Real slides are costly and
become outdated quickly.
 Now we’re moving into the age of WIKIS and
beyond.
2
 We can also so easily add video, sound, and
still photographs to any presentation easily.
3
Goal and Objective
 to learn about presentation tools
 to learn about presentation organization
 to understand the role of presentation in
measurement and evaluation
 to provide information about different skills
tests available

Idea
• Here is where you should state your question
or idea
• You might also present your hypotheses at this
point
7
Review of Literature
• A summary of the relevant literature should be
presented here
• Be sure to give credit to the
authors/researchers that published the
literature you are using

9
Participants
• Participants were 48 undergraduate majors in
Kinesiology taking a summer school class
entitled Measurement and Evaluation in
Kinesiology
• These college students are somewhat older
than the average college student on many
campuses.
• Their emphases vary across teaching, sport
management, physical therapy, exercise and
movement science, and athletic training.

 What happened (only in the context of the
results)?
 Any limitations?
 Are there important practical applications that
are evident from your study?
