2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. – Ceremony Walk-through

• Sunday, May 18

6:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. – Breakfast in the Green Room

(2 nd floor above PE lobby)

7:00 a.m. – Report to respective assembly area

7:15 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. - Graduate Assembly (All marshals are required to be in either the assembly area or on the fields)

9:00 a.m. SHARP -Processional begins

Assembly Area Procedures

• Each name card will have a scan code.

• The scan code will be scanned as students’ walk across the stage.

• It will show the students’ name and major on the screen as they receive their diploma.

• Ask candidates to print non-MSU Denver email address on back of name card for photos.

Assembly Area Procedures

• Name Card and Assembly Marshals will not have blank cards to give out to students who do not have a name card pre-made.

• Those students should be instructed to check-in at the student information table.

• They can have a card made for them with a scan code.

• This service will end at 8:15 a.m. The generic scan will show “Congratulations Graduate!”

Name Card Marshals

• Greet and congratulate candidates

• Hand out candidates’ name cards

• Inform candidates where to line up

• Answer candidate questions

Line students up within their departments

Keep order

Answer student questions

IMPORTANT: Give first candidate in each department the Chair name card 10 minutes before the procession begins.

Politely ask guests to take a seat or to move their conversation outside the ceremony.

Remind candidates to remain in their seats for the entire ceremony.

• Parking will be available FREE on campus all day

Center for $5

Must be picked up by June 18 from SSB, Ste. 430

Cap and Gown Return

Immediately following the ceremony, between the P.E. Event Center and Plaza.
