Hello my name is Michele Parsons, my company Essence Catering is a family run school meals
provider based in Milton Keynes. We have been given the privilege of supplying St Bernadette’s
Catholic School with school lunches from September 2014 which are locally sourced and
nutritionally balanced.
As a small Independent school meal provider we are proud to offer a
NEW ON-SITE CATERING SERVICE which is tailored to meet your school’s unique requirements
with all quality home-made meals produced in the
ON -SITE school kitchen, and freshly prepared each day.
From September 2014 the Government has introduced Universal Infant Free
School Meals for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
Families will save more than £400.00 per year at a time when household incomes can be a
challenge for parents, so we feel a huge responsibility to encourage the uptake of this provision.
Our paid school meals for the other year groups that are not entitled to free school meals
represent excellent value for money with a two course lunch
costing £2.20 per day.
ORDERING YOUR SCHOOL LUNCHES IS EASY.
 You will receive a school menu and order form which will need to return to school on the
last Monday of half term in advance for meals required on the first week of term.
 You must return the form and any monies in a sealed and named envelope to the school
meals drop box only and not to reception. This should be no later than Monday afternoon
for meals for the following week.
 All forms must be filled out clearly with the child’s full name and class and if payment is
required, the payment method and amount paid.
 Payments can be made using BACS the details are on the order form and a reference and
payment date must always be used to ensure we can track the payments and credit the
correct account.
 No cheques please.
 Essence Catering will not take responsibility for forms that are not clearly filled out with
all the correct details.
 ALL ENQUIRIES MUST BE MADE TO ESSENCE CATERING ONLY AND NOT THE SCHOOL.

 If your child has any dietary requirements you should contact Essence Catering to discuss
your child’s needs.
 You must make a copy of your child’s order for your reference. We will supply a spare
form for you to do this.
