– PLATO /IMPACT Lab
• This program allows you to earn several credits quickly.
• Credits are completed on the computer.
• Sign up with your guidance counselor.
– Florida Virtual School
• Meet with your counselor to determine which class or
classes you need to graduate
• Go to www.flvs.net to register for the class
• Ask your counselor to approve your class.
• Complete your classes on time!
Prospective Student Athletes
NCAA
If you are looking to participate in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA
Division I or Division II college or university in the future, follow these
steps in your 11th grade year:
 Register with the eligibility center.
 Make sure you are on course to meet core-course requirements (verify you have the
correct number of core courses and that the core courses are on your high school's
NCAA approved course list).
 When taking the ACT or SAT, request test scores to be sent to the eligibility center (the
code is "9999").
 Begin your amateurism questionnaire.
NEW RULE FOR NCAA DIVISION 1 (Online Courses)
 If you plan to apply to a Division 1 school, NCAA will no longer accept classes taken
online though PLATO that were taken after August 1st 2010.
 If you have taken a class through one of these online institutions after August 1 st 2010
please see your counselor to discuss eligibility as soon as possible.

a passing score on the
FCAT
– Gives students access

secondary options,
including college,
careers, and the

• Certificate of Completion
– Given to students who
have earned 24 credits
and a 2.0 GPA, but have
not passed the FCAT, OR
have passed the FCAT,
but do not have a 2.0 GPA
– Limits the post secondary
options available (for
example, you cannot be
accepted to a four year
college with a certificate
of completion)
