Summer Course Opportunities:

By successfully completing a summer elective through Collegiate’s Summer Quest,
you may opt out of 1 semester of English during the academic year
Honors English:
•
Exemplary English students may now elect to earn Honors designation in their junior senior electives. Interested students will:
– Have an A- average over their 2 previous semesters in English, and gain
approval from their current teacher
– Fulfill the independent reading, research, and writing requirements, and complete
a meaningful independent project supervised by the elective teacher and
approved by the department chair
– Be given latitude to design a project that unites their individual interests with the
larger demands of the course
– Receive the standard GPA bump of .5 per Honors course, per semester

English Deadline: Take it Seriously!
• You must return the English Preference Form to
the box at the front desk by Monday, April 16.
• If your form is not turned in by April 16, you will
