6 Kingdoms Presentation: In-Class Assignment
November 2 - 4, 2015 (In Class - Work Days)
Project Requirements:
❖ In class, you will work alone or in a group of 2 - 3 students to prepare an informational
Google Presentation about the 6 kingdoms of life.
❖ Your final product will be a Google Presentation (similar to PowerPoint).
❖ If you are working in a group your document will be shared among your group members
so that you can all edit it.
❖ If you wish to work alone please see your teacher for more information.
❖ Each Presentation will include the following:
➢ Cover slide with a title and at least 1 picture from each kingdom.
➢ One informational slide per kingdom with kingdom name and 5 bullet points.
■ Kingdom Name
■ 3 characteristics from facts sheet that you completed (3 bullets)
■ 2 fun facts that you googled (2 bullets)
➢ One example slide with two organisms from each kingdom including:
■ A picture of each example organism
■ The classification levels from domain to species for each example
■ The common name of the example organism (Not needed for Bacteria and
Archaea kingdoms)
■ Scientific name of example organism (IN THE CORRECT FORMAT
REQUIRED FOR ALL KINGDOMS)
■ Refer to example on my website for help. (This example is for reference
only. You can not use these organisms for your presentation.)
Total possible points – 85 points
Due Date: Tuesday, November 10th, 2015 (by 5 pm)
All presentations will be uploaded to your google drive. No revisions by any
group member will be allowed after 5 pm on Tuesday (11/10/15). Revisions
after this time will result in late points being deducted from the final project.
Kingdom Project Check list:
Make sure you are referring back to the directions for all the details!!
1. Did I include a cover slide with pictures from all kingdoms?
2. Did I include an information slide for each kingdom with 5 bullets on each slide?
3. Did I include 2 example pictures for each kingdom?
4. For each example did I list all 8 classification levels from domain to species?
5. For each example did I include the common name of the organism? (remember I
did not need this for bacteria and archaea)
6. For each example did I include the scientific name written in the correct format?
(italicized and correct capitalization - necessary for ALL kingdoms)
7. Did I go back and check my work carefully so I get full credit for this easy fun
project!!!!!
