At Home




-Play PRODIGY! Free account for each student! Prodigygame.com/play class code: 3SSL8V
-Master: adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing fractions and decimals
-Check student’s planners for nightly homework assignments
-Have students explain their thinking and thought process on the problems. Being able to
verbalize problems and solutions really cements the understanding of a concept.
Other Helpful Hints for the School Year:
 A neat and organized binder does wonders!
 Check your child’s planner. They should be writing assignments in it every day.
 Establish a homework routine and study hours. Provide a time and space for homework.
 Encourage your child to do his or her best work
 Praise your child’s efforts– not only when they bring home a good grade, but for
perseverance as well.
 Contact teachers for any questions or concerns.
 At any point in the year, you may schedule a conference with your child’s teachers by calling
Sophia Simpson-Verger (7th grade counselor) at 425-204-3618 or email
Sophia.simsonverger@rentonschools.us
If at any time you would like to be taken off the email list, please let me know.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you for all your support!
Sincerely
Michelle Hayes
