The ADDA Professional Directory Guide for Professional Members
The Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) is an international non-profit organization that provides
information, resources and networking opportunities to help adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
lead better lives. We provide hope, empowerment and connections worldwide by bringing together science and
the human experience for both adults with ADHD and professionals who serve them.
One of the ways we serve both groups best is by connecting adults with ADHD with the professionals who are
best able to help them. To do so, we’ve created the ADDA Professional Directory.
Using a combination of categories adults with ADHD can use to narrow their search and a search engine that
finds all key words within profiles, the Professional Directory provides a powerful tool for ADDA Professional
Members to promote and build their business, and it empowers adults with ADHD to find the help they need.
We’ve provided the following guide to help you choose the information you want to share in your professional
profile. We’ve also provided some sample ADHD Professional Profiles you can use as inspiration for the type of
profile you’d like to have.

Once you have completed the form, you’re ready to create your profile on the ADDA Web site. As an active
professional ADDA member, your Professional Directory profile is a benefit of membership, and you can create
and update your profile yourself. Once you log in to the Web site at add.org (click on the "I'm an ADDA Member”
button in the top left corner of the home page), in the menu on the right side of that page, you'll see "Edit Your
Professional Directory Profile." Click there to open the form that will allow you to create or edit your profile.
Simply use the information you’ve gathered as a “copy and paste” checklist for completing your profile. Double
check all spelling as people will be searching for ADHD professionals by typing in keywords such as your city
name, state or speciality. Having your professional profile listed on the ADDA Web site adds credibility. Ensuring
your information is accurate, complete and well-presented not only help build the credibility of the Professional
Directory, which reflects well on you, but also gives clients confidence in your professionalism.
Be assured, we at ADDA will be doing everything we can to promote the ADDA Professional Directory in our
communication with members and the adult ADHD world.
