Tips for AIG Students
• Start a rigorous schedule first semester freshman year. College preparation starts the
first day of high school, so it is important to challenge yourself.
• If possible, take world language in 10th or 11th grade in order to avoid taking up
elective space during the senior year that could be filled by honors, CCP, or AP
classes. If you plan to take levels III/IV of language, start in 9th grade.
• It is not necessary to double up on math courses if you do not plan to take AP
Calculus AB/BC.
• It is not necessary to double up on science courses if you do not plan to take AP
Biology or AP Chemistry
