Meet with a tutor live online via Scribblar© (using audio, chat, and whiteboard components).
All appointments are 1 hour (10 minutes for set-up and 50 for the session) and must be scheduled in advance.
Please go to www.bucks.edu/tutor and select Online Tutoring for specific schedules and more information about
the technology requirements.
Effective Speaking sessions use GoBoard© for sessions (using audio, video, chat, PowerPoint sharing, and
whiteboard components).
Psychology, French, and Spanish appointments must be scheduled through Newtown by request (215-968-8044).
Drop-In Online Tutoring:




This option is available for quick questions in writing, AESL, Effective Speaking, Italian, and Psychology. Tutors
may refer students for more complete sessions if necessary.
A tutor will monitor the space during scheduled hours and on business days as available. If a tutor steps away
for a moment, a link to asynchronous options may be provided for select subjects.
Some instructors have added the link to the tutor in the left-hand menu of Canvas. To check if this option is
available, sign-in to Canvas, and check the menus of your courses.
If your instructor has not, there is an access point in MyBucks.
1. Go to MyBucks, the Student Portal, and sign in using your username and password.
1. Then under Student Services and Support, click on Tutoring Center.
2. Click on Online Writing Tutoring Center on the bottom left.
3. Check the drop-in hours, which will be located in the Tutoring Center Canvas space.
Asynchronous Options:
Online Writing Form and Ask a Tutor Form:




From bucks.edu/tutor, click the Online Tutoring link on the left to access these forms.
For the Online Writing Form, submit work from any stage of the writing process (from outline to final draft) to
be reviewed by a Writing Tutor.
Through the Ask a Tutor form, students may submit quick questions for select subjects.
Submissions received by noon on a business day will receive a response by 4pm the following business day
(Center business days for fall and spring are Monday through Friday).
