Graduate Studies Slideshow
•This artifact was developed during my work as a graduate assistant for the Office of Graduate Studies in
the Fall 2009 semester for Debora Haring, our recruitment coordinator.
•Debora hosted a Webinar that aired around FGCU and the local area featuring graduate studies. My
role in this was to create this PowerPoint presentation that she would follow throughout the webinar
and the prospective students would follow along with her. I also researched statistics and wrote up our
admission requirements for the presentation.
•This presentation addresses Standard 2: Instructional Leadership & Standard 7: Technology from the
Florida Educational Leadership Standards and the performance substandards that apply.
•I learned how rare it is to have graduated with your master’s degree and how much of an advantage it
really gives you. These statistics can help us in our recruiting of students. It is important to reach out
and use different outlets to recruit. New technology is a great way to reach out to the new generations
considering graduate school.
