Teacher Web Sites – CMS4Schools (Administrator of GHS Web site)
Resources – Prepared by Sally Kowalczyk
Updated 9/5/11
All exisiting ClassZoom faculty Web sites will transition to CMS4Schools
(www.germantownschools.org) on Friday, September 16. At that time, teacher Web site links
(accessible from the Department navigation link on the GHS home page) set up through
ClassZoom will no longer be accessible through the GHS site.
If you want to transition away from ClassZoom sooner, please e-mail Sally Kowalczyk.
(New) Faculty Web Sites
All teaching staff have their own faculty Web site that initially contains one page containing
data from your “Personal Profile”—which currently has your Name and e-mail address.
You can see your actual page by adding your login name after “/faculty/”. For example,
Sally Kowalczyk’s is: http://www.germantownschools.org/faculty/skowalczyk
While you can view your site from the “/faculty/” link, you must be logged in to make changes.

(You may want to save the link as a

Your login/password is the same as the Staff Intranet.
Structure of a Page
When you look at a page, it appears
to be seamless; however, it actually
is built in layers of ‘tools’.
The most common tools you will use
in the main body of your site are:
 Text/Graphic Editor
 Resources/News
The Right Side Bar has fewer
options, but includes similar tools.
The main body can have various tools/layers, as can the
right side bar—similar to the following diagram:

Recommendation: Please access additional resources listed at the bottom

help you better understand what you can do with the
site and how to do it.

“My Navigation Builder Home”

Displays a table of all site pages. Initially it will only
show “My Home Page” as a Level 1 link. Level 1 links
are the main navigation links that appear on the left side
bar. You can add Level 1, 2, or 3 links (pages) as needed.
Until Friday, September 16, you
