God’s Unrelenting Love
GOD’S UNRELENTING LOVE
“SPRING SEASON”
• You may have emotions of excitement,
joy and hope towards the future
• You may have an attitude of anticipation,
optimism and trust
• And your actions may include: planning
and communicating well
“SUMMER SEASON”
• With emotions of happiness and connection
• Your attitude might be relaxed and
committed to growth personally, relationally
and spiritually
• And you may be communicating
constructively and accepting each other’s
differences
“FALL SEASON”
•
•
•
•
A beautiful exterior, but a dying interior
Maybe this morning, you’re feeling sad or
discouraged in your marriage
Maybe you are strongly concerned,
uncertain or playing the blame game
Your actions towards your spouse might
include neglect or denial
“WINTER SEASON”
• Its characterized by a season of bitter cold
and harshness
• Our aspirations of spring are covered with
sleet, snow and the frozen tundra of
winter…
• And it drives us inside to withdraw from
confrontation and problem solving
Genesis 1:31 (NIV)
“God saw all that he had made and it
was very good.”
Genesis 2:18 (NIV)
“It is not good for man to be alone.”
Genesis 2:21-24 (NIV)
”So
the LORD God caused the man to fall
into a deep sleep; and while he was
sleeping, he took one of the man’s
ribs[a] and then closed up the place with
flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a
woman from the rib[b] he had taken out of
the man, and he brought her to the man.
Genesis 2:21-24 (NIV)
23 The
man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and
mother and is united to his wife, and they
become one flesh.”
What is the greatest source of stress
in your marriage?
“When Mama’s happy,
everybody’s happy!”
“The ultimate purpose of
marriage is to reflect God’s
image.” -unknown
The Bible is God’s Love story to
us. His message to us throughout
scripture is that He loves us; he
always has and he always will. We
cannot keep God from loving us.
HOSEA 4:12B (NIV)
“A spirit of prostitution
leads them astray; they are
unfaithful to their God.”
Doesn’t that sound like us as
a people and a nation?
2 Timothy 2:13
“If we are faithless, he will
remain faithful, for he
cannot disown himself.”
