Client abc
Client abc are a grower and distributor of chicken eggs. Their clients include
McDonalds, Coles, etc. They employ an overage 50 people. Although they
have no common trend in injuries on site, they would like us to place more
emphasis on snake bites as there is a high chance of snake interaction given
the nature of their business. They also mentioned there may be a few literacy
issues that need to be address so a verbal assessment would be preferred for
the whole group to now single out individuals.

Validation and moderation information
The Director of E First Aid is responsible to ensure that current and new information is subject to formal
validation processes and that changes are implemented and reflected in relevant documentation.
Continuous improvement
Continuous improvement is based upon assessment validation.
Moderation: The process of bringing assessment judgments and standards into alignment. It is a process
that ensures the same standards are applied to all assessment results within the same Units(s) of
Competency. E Firstaid has in place both formal and informal processes for the moderation of standards
and assessments. These include systematic review, audit of assessment results, annual qualitative review
with instructors and management and independent feedback.
Validation is a quality review process. It involves checking that the assessment tool produced is valid,
reliable, sufficient, current and authentic evidence to enable reasonable judgments to be made as to
whether the requirements of the relevant aspects of the Training Package or accredited course have been
met. E Firstaid uses various mechanisms to ensure that the assessment tool comply with the requirements
of the Training Package, including: ongoing internal review, independent industry review, moderation
activities, a centralized training resource matrix for the ongoing comparison and development of materials
and annual review by instructors.
