Course Outline The basic class will cover aspects of cardiovascular tissue engineering with a focus on blood vessel development, heart tissues including cardiac muscle and valves. Other special topics will include mechanisms of vascularization and project based class assignments. 13. Attendance and Expectations: It is expected that class is attended unless an acceptable excuse or doctors permission is given. A total of 5% is awarded for semester participation, 2.5% by peers, 2.5% by instructor. Cell phones must be turned off in class. 14. Grading Evaluation (Participation 5%, Quiz 5%, class assignment 30%, term paper 30%, final project 30%) 15. Grading Scale (e.g., 90-100 A, 85-89 B+, 80-84 B, etc.) No scaling will be done. 16. Make-up Exam Policy. No make-ups for missed quizzes, all other grades are project based so make-ups are applicable. 17.
