Research Sector Projects Unit RSP Unit is a conceptual framework unit managed by the Deanship of the Faculty of Science and funded by Research administration, Kuwait University. It is an integral unit comprising of several high end equipments in Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Biological Sciences Departments. The facility is available free of charge for all researchers and graduate students within Kuwait University. Researchers with external funding, however has to pay for these services. General Facility services could be made available for use by researchers and/or institutions outside the University, both private and public, at the list price indicated. - Scientific services ● RSPU not only provides analytical services for different samples but also provides a consultation services and interpreting the results. - Important Notes on Charges, Turnaround Times and Results The following points apply to sample analysis: ● The included price list is for commercial samples. However, acadimic samples will be subjects to a discount by 25%. ● The service cost for commercial samples can be discounted depending on the number of samples and period of contracts. ● An extra 25% of the total cost will be charged for the consultation services and interpreting of the results. ● Payment is requested on delivery of samples (cash, cheque payments accepted). Invoices are available to regular clients. 1 ● Turn around times will vary depending on the size and complexity of the samples, but most will be completed within five to ten working days of receiving samples. ● Turn around times are available on request and only for selected tests. These incur 100% surcharge for 24 hour, 50% for two day and 25% for three day service. ● Results are provided in Excel and PDF report format detailing the analytical results in relation to standard guidelines, where available. ● Sample Receipt Notices, Results and Invoices are supplied by email and may be posted or faxed as requested. - Confidentiality and Quality Assurance Confidentiality is an integral part of our quality assurance certification. Analytical results are kept confidential and no results will be released to a third party without client written consent. Strict quality control procedures are applied to all chemical, physical and bacteriological analyses.
