Hurricane Ike affected areas and played integral role in Jefferson Refinery, LLC receiving $380 million of industrial
revenue bonds through the Jefferson County Industrial Development Corporation and the State of Texas.
Hand-selected to serve as Southeast Texas Industrial Alliance Facilitator to design and implement a strategic plan
to staff $10B of industrial petrochemical expansions in the Southeast Texas region.
Provided public relations and marketing support for the outreach of State of Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs Housing Assistance Program for Hurricane Rita restoration; streamlined construction

RECOVERY COALITION OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS

Strategically developed Hurricane Rita Recovery Plan and built a regional coalition to secure federal and state hurricane
appropriations relief for impacted housing, small business, and social service agencies for 22 Texas counties. Created
organization of subcommittees to address recovery areas of housing, small business and economic development, social
services and special needs as well as workforce development.



After Hurricane Rita, appointed Chairman of the Recovery Coalition of SETX. In conjunction with local, state and
federal elected officials, secured more than $502.5M of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $88M in
Health & Human Services funds, and $235M for Hurricane Katrina evacuee education cost for the state of Texas.
Secured a $1M ExxonMobil grant to provide food and gas cards after hurricane to address special needs of
impacted citizens.
Received $1M grant at zero percent interest to bridge loans for hurricane impacted small business.

and advocate to local, state, and federal senators, representatives, and regulatory agencies on behalf of business needs of
BASF for SETX region.
