1. In 1993, Spring-Ford had 3 backs who rushed for 100+ yards in a game vs. St. Pius X
2. In 2010 Spring-Ford defeated Sussex Tech, who returned the leading rusher in the state of Delaware, Desmond
Sivels, and Owen J. Roberts, who returned the leading rusher in the state of Pennsylvania, Ryan Brumfield, in
successive weeks.
3. In the first ever “White Out” at McNelly Stadium, Spring-Ford defeated Owen J. Roberts 20-7 in front of an
estimated 5,000+ fans.
4. Spring-Ford scored 13 seconds into the 2011 season when Jarred Jones returned the opening kickoff for a 90yard touchdown, the first time he ever touched the football in varsity action.
5. Spring-Ford defeated Pottsgrove 49-35 in 2011, which ended a 12-year losing streak versus the Falcons.
6. The 42-0 shutout Spring-Ford recorded versus Owen J. Roberts in 2011 was the only shutout in the whole 2011

12. Zameer McDowell became the first Spring-Ford football player to be named to the PSFCA East / West All-Star
game in 2013.
13. Tate Carter had one of the best all-around offensive seasons in Spring-Ford history in 20113 when he caught 43
passes for 586 yards and 5 TDs, ran for 714 yards and 7.1 yards per carry and 10 TDs, threw a TD pass, and
returned a kickoff for a TD.
14. Spring-Ford was 25-3 in games in which Jarred Jones started at RB in 2011-13.

Awards Criteria
The Vincent Dipaul Coaches Award
The award is given to a senior football player who exemplified the characteristics and traits that Vincent
DiPaul, class of 2006, exhibited while a member of the Spring-Ford football program. The award is given to a player
that demonstrates a love for playing football. He believes that football is a team sport and supports his fellow
players, never complaining about the role his coaches asked him to play or injuries that arose throughout the
season. The award consists of a plaque and a scholarship for post-secondary education.
The Brian Clarke Special Teams Award
This award is given to a Spring-Ford football player who exemplified the characteristics and traits of Brian Clarke,
class of 2014, exhibited while a member of the Spring-Ford football program. The award is given to a player who works
hard on and off the football field to improve his abilities and opportunities to contribute to the team on special teams.
This player understands how important special teams play is to a football program’s success and continually improves
his skills and is willing to do any task that his coaches ask of him. The award consists of a scholarship for post-secondary
education.
The David L. Freed Award
Awarded to a senior football player who best exemplifies David L. Freed’s qualities in athletics and academic work,
especially the qualities of dedication, continuous self-improvement, team success rather than individual success, selfdiscipline, coachability, loyalty to coaches and teammates, and unquestioning faith in the program. The player is an
individual who does not necessarily have superior physical talent but has earned a playing position on the varsity team.
The Touchdown Club Award
The Touchdown Club award is presented to a senior football player who best upholds the expectations and
characteristics of a Spring-Ford Rams football player. Through his actions and words, both on and off the field, others
point to him as someone whose work ethic is exemplary. His ability to play football at a high level parallels his academic
work and personal character. The award consists of a trophy.
