Parkland College Catering Services is pleased to present to you our Catering Guide. For your convenience, we have put
together our most frequently requested and popular items. Please realize that these menu items are just a sampling of what we
can offer. We are more than happy to customize a catering menu specifically designed to meet your needs.
This catering guide is designed to assist you in organizing your functions, ranging from breakfast to elegant buffets and
hors d’oeuvres. We are always delighted to customize a menu unique to your occasion as well. Thank you for the opportunity to
serve you. Whether you are planning a simple breakfast or an upscale executive luncheon, we pride ourselves on our ability to
meet any need with style and creativity, assuring the success of your event. You will find all of our most popular menu selections
online. We can also custom design a menu for any special occasion. This system has been created to make ordering your food and
beverage requirements as easy as possible.
We want to ensure that we are providing you with the very best options for you to select from, so please let us know if
there is something you do not see in our order guide. We will be happy to assist you at any time with placing your food and
beverage orders.

Parkland College Catering Services
The pricing quoted in the catering menu are based upon per person or events described therein. Based upon the nature of your
event, there may be additional charges or fees that will apply. Below is a partial listing of the charges that may apply. All sales are
final, no returns on product and beverage. For further details concerning these fees and information regarding your event please
contact: Event and Conference Services Office at 217-373-3759.
House linens are provided for all food service, buffet and bar tables. The price for linen table-cloths in your seating area is $5.50
each and $.35 each for linen napkins. Additional charges will apply for any linen beyond the standard numbers or for custom
colors or sizes. Specialty linens will be priced at fair market value.
The price of all food and drinks includes disposable utensils, plates, cups and napkins. We can accommodate china, flatware and
stemware needs. The price per china plate settings are $1.50 per guest depending on the number of pieces required. The client is
responsible for any lost, damaged or broken pieces.
Safe food handling is a high priority for Parkland College Catering Services. Therefore, we re-serve the right to limit the removal
of leftover food by the client to items that are available for carry out. For your safety and that of your guests, a catering
representative will remove food from your event in a timely manner.
In addition to designing menus for special events, our sales professionals are often asked to de-sign menu proposals to meet
custom requirements. Included in the menu planning and pricing evaluation, which accompanies these proposals, are
considerations given to the expected at-attendance at these events. Should an event attendance fall significantly below the
original number expected, the proposed menu price may be subject to change.
To ensure the success of your event, it is necessary that we receive your final guest count for each meal function by the following
schedule:
- Events up to150 people require the final guest count three business days prior to the first scheduled event.
- Events between 151 – 400 people require the final guest count five business days prior to the first scheduled event.
Please note that the above schedule excludes weekends and holidays.
Once the final guest count is due, the count may not be decreased. The customer will be billed on the final guest count or the
actual meals served; whichever is greater. Parkland College Catering Services will make every attempt to accommodate an
increase in your count after the final guarantee is due; however any increases could result in additional fees.
Cancellations should be made as soon as possible. If notice of cancellation is received two business days prior to the scheduled
event, you will be charged for any expenses incurred in preparing for the event and the costs of any custom or specially ordered
items. If notice is received less than two business days in advance, you will be charged the full cost of the event.
The team of professionals at Parkland College Catering Service strives to produce each event with a fiscally conservative mindset
to help preserve your departmental budget. One way we successfully do this is by standardizing accounting procedures. Our
friendly staff is happy to answer any questions you have pertaining to payments and how we can make all of your events both a
culinary and budgetary success.
All internal and/or College sponsored events must be billed through a departmental account code. This code is required to be
listed on the Event and Conference Services requisition form prior to placing your order.
All external clients who wish to order catering must order directly through the Event and Conference Services Office. State and
local taxes will be applied to invoices without appropriate documentation of tax exempt status.
