AP Psychology: Reading Quizzes and List of Assigned Reading for First Semester
Success in this class requires that students read a great deal of college level material. The majority of reading assignments
will come from either the main textbook (Psychology for AP, 1st edition by David G. Myers) or the supplemental text
(Barron’s AP Psychology). Most students will find that in order to keep up with assigned reading that they must read
daily. In order to manage the amount of reading that will be covered on daily quizzes, quiz readings will be limited to an
average of ten pages. Almost all of the assignments that students will be quizzed on will come from the Myers textbook.
Students should note that they are expected to have read both the textbook chapter and the corresponding Barron’s chapter
prior to every unit test. In addition to the assignments listed below students can expect to occasionally receive reading
handouts and psychology related articles in class. These supplemental materials are to be read and kept in the student’s
AP Psychology binder.
