2009-10 Test Dates and Registration Deadlines
Important Information for All Test-Takers

Sunday administrations usually occur the day after each Saturday test date, for students who cannot test on Saturday due to religious observance. For
the test administration on October 10, the Sunday test date has been moved to October 18 to avoid conflict with the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah.

The Language Tests with Listening are offered only in November.

Deadlines for international test-takers are given below the tables for U.S. students.

The Question-and-Answer Service (QAS) is offered only on the Saturday test dates in October and January, and for Saturday, Sunday, and school-based
testing dates in May.

The Student Answer Service (SAS) is available only on the test dates for which QAS is not offered—those in November, December, March, and June. It is
also available for Sunday and school-based testing dates in October and January.

GENERAL INFORMATION
FINANCIAL AID
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the form used when applying for financial aid. This is the
first step in the financial aid process. The forms cannot be mailed out before January 1, 2010 if you plan to attend
college in the fall of 2010. The forms usually arrive in December. They will be made available at that time.
COLLEGE APPLICATIONS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Your Counselor will help you with your college and scholarship applications. The colleges and
national organizations usually have their application deadlines in the fall and local organizations
are in the spring. Read carefully for all criteria and deadlines. Not doing so could cost you a
scholarship or deny your entry to the college of your choice. If you would like us to mail your
scholarship applications, please turn them in to the Guidance Office at least five days prior
to the date they are due to their destination.
TEXAS GRANT
Visit www.CollegeForTexans.com for information or call the Texas Financial Aid Information Center at 1-888-3118881 (toll free).
REFERENCE MATERIALS

can be signed out for three school days at a time. Students may come in before school, at their lunch period, after
school or on a pass from their teacher if it is during class time.
THE COMPENDIUM OF TEXAS COLLEGES AND FINANCIAL AID CALENDAR FOR
HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
