Why is the sky blue?

What makes the sky blue?
Sa
Wow! Look at the sky! That cloud looks like a bird! Hmmm. I wonder
how the sky became blue. Have you ever wondered about the sky’s
color? Well, anyway, let’s find out.
Atmospheric
Well, here’s the 1st question:
Atmosphere-the

earth
The sun’s light is not white as many of the people reading this believe.
It is actually, as scientists have proved, made out of the colors of the
rainbow!! Can you believe that?
Did you know that light’s energy travels in waves, just like the
energy coming from the ocean? If a light wave is blue, it will travel in
a short, choppy little line/wave. If the color of the light wave is red,
Wonder Words
Molecules
Gases- a substance
possessing perfect
molecular ability.
Here is a little more info:
All light travels in a completely straight line unless something Reflects it
 Bends it
 Scatters it
Sunlight gets scattered by gases and tiny little particles that
the human eye can’t see when it reaches earth’s atmosphere. If
the light reaching earth is blue, it gets scattered by all of the tiny
molecules inside of earth’s atmospheric field. The blue light
waves are shorter and smaller, so it gets scattered the most out
of all of the colors of sunlight.
Here’s the 2nd question…What makes a red sunset??
There are a few things that can determine what color a
sunset will be. One of those things would be the Earth’s
atmosphere. So, the Earth’s atmosphere is made out of some
wacky gases and molecules that are going all around the Earth.
That’s why we see the same color in every direction. Oh, and did
I forget to tell you what gases you will find the most in the
Earth’s atmosphere? Well, here they are. You will probably find
nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%) the most in the Earth’s
atmosphere. And guess what the remaining 1% is made out of?
Trace gases. Those trace gases include argon, water vapor, and
lots of tiny little solid particles like dust, soot, pollen, and salt
from nearby oceans. The last thing you have to look at is the
light. Violet is the shortest meaning it has the most energy. Red is
the longest and has less energy.
And finally, the
at night?
3rd
and last question… What makes the sky black
The reason why the sky is black at night is because the
sun’s light is absent. Since there is no light to reach the eye of a
human, you can have a completely transparent view of space
including the stars and moon. This is why the sky is black at night.
Have you ever
wondered?
When do you usually
see the sunset?
Test Your Knowledge
What is the
choppiest light wave?
BLUE!!
it will travel in a long and very smooth line/wave. Since a blue
light wave is short and choppy, it shows more than any other
color in the sun’s light. That’s why when the sun shows most
(daytime), you see a blue sky.
