attributes his good fortune to a photograph he carried of a woman he has
never met (Schilling), whom he sets out to meet upon his return to North
Carolina. The Lucky One was released on April 20, 2012.
Taylor grew up in Massachusetts and graduated in 2006 from Fordham University
with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. She entered New York University's Graduate
Acting Program and left after her second year to pursue her acting career,
landing “Mercy” within four months. She currently resides in New York City.

Laura Prepon stars as Alex Vause, Piper’s alluring international drug smuggler exgirlfriend, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Laura Prepon is a versatile actress whose career spans both film and
television. She made her television debut on the long running sitcom "That 70's
Show," where she portrayed Donna Pinciotti, the girlfriend of next door neighbor
Eric Forman (Topher Grace).
Recently, Laura starred opposite Bryan Greenberg in The Kitchen. Prepon
portrayed Jennifer, whose thirtieth birthday party is supposed to be special, but
quickly spirals into a most ill-fated day she wishes she could forget. The Kitchen
hit theaters in March of 2013.
In the fall of 2012, Prepon starred opposite Bruce Willis and Vince Vaughn in the
film Lay the Favorite for Director Stephen Frears. Also in 2012, Laura starred in the
NBC comedy “Are You There, Chelsea?” the series adaptation of comedian
Chelsea Handler’s bestselling novel Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea.
Prepon portrayed “Chelsea Hanson,” a free spirited cocktail waitress who loves
alcohol and one-night stands.
Prepon recently made memorable guest appearances on “Castle”, “House”,
and “How I Met Your Mother”. She also starred in the ABC series “October
Road,” opposite Bryan Greenberg. Prepon portrayed “Hannah,” a single mother
and the ex-girlfriend of a successful author who returns home for the first time in
ten years and finds that nothing is how he left it.
Prepon appeared opposite Ashley Judd in the critically acclaimed feature film
Come Early Morning, which premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film
Festival. Prepon's other feature credits include Slackers opposite Jason
Schwartzman; and Lightning Bug.
Prepon is also at ease behind the camera. She directs, produces, and edits the
comedic web series “Neighbros.” The series is currently in development with a
major cable network for a half hour scripted series. Prepon added her first
producer credits when she combined her passion for poker and entertainment
in her own television show for E! Entertainment entitled "E's Hollywood Hold' Em."
Prepon was raised in Watchung, New Jersey, a short distance from New York
City. She is the youngest of five children and her desire to act began at 15. In
addition, Prepon has always had a passion to dance and has trained in ballet.
Although an east-coaster at heart, Prepon currently resides in Los Angeles.
KATE MULGREW
“Galina ‘Red’ Reznikov” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Kate Mulgrew stars as Galina “Red” Reznikov, the tough Russian prison chef who
is always keeping score, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Mulgrew is internationally recognized as “Captain Janeway,” the first female
captain of the Starship Enterprise in “Star Trek: Voyager.” Her career spans film,
television, and the stage. Classically trained, she received a Golden Globe
nomination at the age of 23 when she portrayed “Mrs. Columbo,” the wife of
the famous detective. Other notable television appearances include “Kate
Loves A Mystery,” “Cheers,” ” Murphy Brown,” ” St. Elsewhere,” ” Ryan’s Hope,” ”
The Black Donnellys,” ” Mercy,” “Warehouse 13,” and “NTSF:SD:SUV” for Adult
Swim.
Film roles include Throw Momma from the Train, Star Trek: Nemesis, A Stranger is
Watching and Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins and The Response.
Mulgrew has toured throughout the United States as Katherine Hepburn in her
stage play, Tea at Five, for which she was nominated for Outer Critics Circle and
Lucille Lortel awards.
Other theater credits include Equus, The American Dream, The Sandbox,
Iphigenia 2.0 (for which she won an Obie), Our Leading Lady, Black Comedy,

DANIELLE BROOKS
“Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Danielle Brooks stars as the always outspoken and sometimes outrageous Tasha
“Taystee” Jefferson in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Brooks was raised in South Carolina, and later moved to New York, where she
studied at The Juilliard School. She began acting out of a desire to connect with
diverse groups of people from all walks of life through the common thread of
storytelling.
A few of Danielle’s previous acting roles include A Servant of Two Masters
(Clarice) at The Shakespeare Theatre in DC, RENT at Hangar Theatre, Lake
Coordination at New Theatre Workshop and “Modern Love” (Lifetime pilot).
In her spare time, Danielle continues her pursuit of the arts through teaching and
community engagement. She has taught drama classes and singing with Artists
Striving To End Poverty (ASTEP) in Homestead, Florida, The Snow College Drama
Intensive in Ephraim, Utah, Arusha Arts Initiative in Tanzania, Africa, and The
Kissimmee Drama Intensive in Florida.

“Dayanara Diaz” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Dascha Polanco stars as Dayanara Diaz, an inmate with mother issues in the
Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Polanco was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Brooklyn by way of
Miami. Her other credits include guest spots on “Unforgettable” and “NYC 22,”
as well as the role of Carol in David Mamet’s stage production of Oleanna
amongst others. She can also be in seen in the upcoming independent drama,
Gimme Shelter opposite Vanessa Hudgens, (slated for a 2013 release,) where
she stars as Carmel.
She resides in New York City.
ELIZABETH RODRIGUEZ
“Aleida Diaz” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Elizabeth Rodriguez stars as Aleida Diaz, Dayanara’s scheming mother who’s
serving time alongside her, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New
Black.”
Rodriguez is a Manhattan born-and-raised native New Yorker of Puerto Rican
heritage and a graduate of Lehman College in the Bronx. After graduation from
Lehman, Rodriguez studied for two years under acclaimed acting teacher

Laverne Cox stars as Sophia Burset, a transgender inmate who serves as the
prison’s resident beautician, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New
Black.”
Cox is an actress, producer and transgender advocate. She is the first AfricanAmerican transgender woman to produce and star in her own television show,
VH1’s critically acclaimed “TRANSForm Me.” Laverne made television history
when she became the first African-American transgender woman to appear on
a reality television program, VH1’s “I Wanna Work for Diddy” in 2008.
Laverne has had guest-starring roles on NBC’s "Law and Order" and "Law and
Order: SVU," as well as HBO’s "Bored to Death."
In 2012 Laverne garnered critical acclaim for her role in the independent
feature film Musical Chairs, directed by Susan Seidelman. Her other independent

Matt McGorry stars as a post-military newbie corrections officer John Bennett in

attended the Theater program at Emerson College in Boston, MA.

Michael J. Harney stars as Sam Healy, a counselor preoccupied with the
inmates’ lesbian activities, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Michael J. Harney is an actor, writer, and director who has worked for over 30
years on stage, film and television. Prior to his being cast as Sam Healy in
“Orange Is the New Black” Michael starred in Showtime’s hit dramedy
"Weeds” for two seasons as the ethically-challenged Detective Mitch Ouellette.
He also starred for two seasons as the alcoholic misfit Steve Fields in HBO’s
"Deadwood.” Additional Film and TV Roles include Pete Jensen in Steven
Soderbergh’s Oscar-winning Universal film Erin Brockovich, Detective Bettiger in
Roland Joffe’s Captivity, as well as Marshall Marty Douglas in MGM’s Turbulence
with Ray Liotta and Brendan Gleason.

Ocean’s 13. Michael played undercover P.I. Sam Edick in NBC’s "Persons

Atkinson Theater in 1995. He also taught Sanford Meisner’s work for 8 years. He
has written poetry, song lyrics, one act plays and short stories for the past 40
years.

Michelle Hurst stars as Miss Claudette Pelage, a guarded Haitian inmate who
doesn’t trust easily, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Born and bred in Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Hurst is a
veteran of film, television and theater. She attended Junior Academy (one of
the first Black private schools in the city) and Midwood High School. After
getting her BA in Theatre Arts from Mount Holyoke College, she returned to New
York.

NATASHA LYONNE
“Nicky Nichols” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Natasha Lyonne stars as inmate Nicky Nichols, a quick-witted recovering heroin
addict, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Successful on stage and screen, Natasha Lyonne continues to display her
creative versatility and talent after more than two decades in the industry.
Natasha recently starred as Ms. Hoegel, a high school teacher and head of the
gay-straight alliance, in G.B.F., a hyper-reality popularity tale, demonstrating
how two gay males fit into the high school hierarchy. Written by George Northy,
directed by Darren Stein and also featuring Andrea Bowen, Paul Iacono and
Michael J. Wiillett, the film premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in April.
Under the direction of Diane Crespo, Natasha recently completed the
independent dark comedy Clutter, alongside Joshua Leonard, Carol Kane, and
Kathy Najimy. The film follows a trio of siblings forced to deal with their mother’s
compulsive hoarding. In addition, Natasha can soon be seen in Calvin Reeder’s
The Rambler, a story about a man’s dangerous journey to reconnect with his
long-lost brother after he is released from prison. Also starring Dermot Mulroney
and Lindsay Pulsipher, the film screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and
was picked up by Anchor Bay Entertainment for DVD release on June 25th.
Lyonne also recently wrapped production on a series of upcoming feature films.
First, Natasha joins the all-star cast of He’s Way More Famous Than You, a story of
a once-up-and-coming starlet desperate to gain more fame, directed by
Michael Urie. Also starring Ben Stiller, Vanessa Williams, Jesse Eisenberg and
more, the film just came out in limited release on May 10th. Natasha then stars
opposite Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening, and Matt Dillon in the independent
dramedy, Girl Most Likely (formerly Imogene), directed by Shari Springer-Berman
& Robert Pulcini and produced by Trudie Styler & Celine Rattray. Girl Most Likely
screened at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and Lionsgate/Roadside
attractions will be releasing the film in limited release on July 19th.
Lyonne was reunited with the cast of the highly-successful American Pie series
for the latest installment, American Reunion. Released in April of 2012, audiences
had the pleasure of seeing the beloved American Pie cast on the big screen
one more time. Natasha was also seen in a pair of independent films on the
2011 festival circuit - the sci-fi drama, 4:44 Last Day on Earth, written & directed
by Abel Ferrara and starring Willem Dafoe, which premiered at the Venice Film
Festival, and Night Club, a comedy co-starring Mickey Rooney and Ernest
Borgnine.
Lyonne is best known for her acclaimed performances in Slums of Beverly Hills,
